Do you think that there's such a thing as a power that is wrong, not because of how it's used, but just because of what it does?

[After staying holed up in her room with the door shut - quite an unusual break of habit for her - Katara decides to head into town. She wants to check out that night club that she'd heard about - she heard there would be music!

From there it's the usual errands, like the grocery store and the Item Shop. Dinner tonight will be Something Spicy, but she hasn't figured out what yet. Maybe it'll help get Sokka out of his funk.]

[He might note that there is no immediate agreement that Chouji is a good guy to make friends with - as there normally would be. He's asked for her opinion on Chouji before. And this hesitation does not stem from jealousy. It stems from wondering if ninja are good people to make friends with at all.

So there's a slight pause.]

It's not that she's nervous. Yue comes from a different time than the rest of us. Some of the things she remembered... aren't the same at all, now.

[He's really not sure what to make of that. Ever since coming back from his kidnapping, he's been feeling pretty off-balance with Katara. It's like he's missing something huge, but he hasn't a clue what it is for once.

He'd wonder if something had happened between her and Chouji, but if it did his best friend isn't in on it. Chouji told him about their date. Other than some zombies and some awkward interruptions though, he was told it went well enough.

This is more than troublesome. It's frustrating. But it's not what they're talking about.]

So she's trying to find her place.

In that case, there you go. Those are most of my thoughts on the subject.

She takes the groceries and heads inside, but she doesn't keep him waiting too long. She shuts the door behind him when she reappears.]

[Off they go, then. Katara will be content to walk in relative silence until they reach it, the weight of what she has to say - and how she has to say it - heavy on her shoulders.]

[Normally he wouldn't let it continue on like that, but he's still trying to make sense of the situation, mentally reviewing their last several conversations for hints and clues and anything he might have heard on the journals.

Usually he wouldn't have to make conversation anyways. She likes awkward silences less than he does.
