[ Action, Voice ] .024
[Tomorrow. Tomorrow is tomorrow. Today, she has plans.]
Hey, Winry - do you still want to go get pizza today? I can make it for lunch, but... I can't hang out the whole day.
[She will also be making a point to visit her friends today, specifically the Straw Hat House. She wants to check in on Sanji, now that she knows what's happened to him, say goodbye to Nami... and she has a feeling Ginko will be there as well. If not, she'll try to contact him over the journal.
She also needs to stop in the item's shop. Being given a gift from the water of the river of light... Katara wants to find something similar to the container she used for the spirit oasis water so that if they get out there and she needs it, she'll have it.
The chances are good that she is also going to make a token effort to track down Buffy. She's heard enough about the last fight that she knows what happened there, and she wants to ask a few questions before heading out there - and she wants to hear about how this same mysterious Third Party General had died. It was the mystery that was bothering her - not knowing what they were really going up against or why they were really doing this. If she could talk to someone who'd fought them before, then maybe, maybe... the feeling of being used wouldn't be as strong and she'd be able to focus on what was really important.
She thinks about going over Caesar's house as well, but decides that a journal message will be good enough. He's probably busy preparing - or sleeping. And she had a feeling he wouldn't be able to do as much of that as he'd like, once they got out there.]
[Filtered Voice 90%]
Hey, Caesar. Ready for this?
[After her various conversations, she goes back home to make dinner and she, Sokka, and Toph have a surprisingly normal meal before slipping out a little earlier than normal for her accustomed practice time. She's not sure why they're going out to fight or why the 'why' bothers her so much - and she's a little scared, strung tense with nervous energy. The forms are soothing and precise and tonight there is just that extra edge, just that smallest bit of ruthless passion that gives away just how strongly the drums of her fathers beat within her - this is about war. And war is something Katara knows very well.
But when the sun starts to set she takes a break and takes a seat, watching it go down not thinking about very much at all. It's beautiful.]

So uh, hi, Katara. He'll just be sitting over here behind the couch, quietly drinking his tea until you're done talking with Nami.]
no subject
You all right?
no subject
Right as rain! Nami-san can be very scary at times, but I'm certain that's just one of her ways of showing affection. [She'd totally miss not having her punching bags if they ever took a day off from irritating her.
Either that or he's deluded himself.]
no subject
...then again, walking in on what she saw... yeah.]
Oh. Good then. [Pause.] What did you do?
no subject
So I thought that perhaps I would request something for everyone. To make a long story short, I requested a nurse's uniform for Nami-san to wear while she is tending to Sanji-san. If he should wake up while we are away, it will cheer him right up, you know! Which would make the rest of the crew happier, I should think.
[Nami just doesn't understand this logic, you see. It is flawless.]
no subject
Well... I'm sure that Sanji being happy would make the crew happy. But it doesn't sound like wearing the uniform would make Nami happy.
...and people would actually wear something that frilly as a uniform?
no subject
Nami-san is typically unhappy over many things. This is hardly worse than some of the other outfits I've seen her wear, however.
But not to worry - if she refuses to wear it, there is nothing I will do about it. I'm sure we'll manage to get over the disappointment.

[And turns around to sit back down on the sofa, effectively giving Brook her back.] Boys are gross.
[Even dead ones, apparently.]

When he came down from the mountains, it wasn't long before Ginko intercepted him and filled him in on the situation with Sanji. Brook spent the next several days lying low and catching up on everything that happened.
He hasn't had time to think about everything he went through in the week before that. Seeing Katara reminds him briefly of a pain-filled scream. He can't imagine the smell anymore, and he's grateful for that, but he can still see the meaty corpse when he thinks about it.
He needs to put this out of his mind.] ...You're leaving for the war tomorrow as well, yes?
no subject
When he starts talking sense again, she twists around, resting her elbow on the back of the sofa as she looks at him.]
Yeah. You guys too, right?
no subject
How are you feeling about it?

I saw that Toph-san and your brother will be coming along. ...Perhaps we should work together?
[He maaay be wanting to keep an eye on you all. But also, he knows from experience that your group and his can work well together.]
no subject
I think that would be a good idea. We can bring it up at the meeting later.
