[So it's safe to say that this month has been more than a little crazy. But with nothing exploding in the past few days, she's finally had some time to take care of some basic etiquette. There is no postal system in Luceti, so Katara will be making some visits today. Namely, to all those who gave her a present who she doesn't live with, so we're looking at: Buffy, Jack, Trafalgar Law, Masaomi Kida, Nara Shikamaru, Harry Dresden, Vivi, Mia, Raine and anyone else I may have missed in my scan of the present table. Once she finds your living place, you will receive a handmade thank you card with pressed flowers from her garden inside. (Naturally, any of these deliveries may be handwaved, and if anyone in one of those apartment buildings/houses wants to wonder what she's doing there, feel free to say hello!)

But - hark! - sometime during her jaunt out and about town, Katara actually spots something in the clothing shop that catches her eye. A hat display! Right by the window! She heads inside (just for a moment or two, she swears) to start trying on what look to be several very silly hats. Feel free to catch her at this activity, but be warned! She may try and fit you with a hat as well.]

[Were those his Katara senses or his silly hat senses that were tingling? Maybe even both. Either way, Aang notices this through the store window and hops in to meet her, a few laughs escaping in the process.]

Nice one, Katara!

[The bell jingles and Katara glances up, still wearing the monstrosity in question. She laughs a little.]

Thanks, Aang!

The flowers really add to it. [He looks around towards the wide assortment of unfashionable hats with glee.] I want to try one on, too. Which one do you recommend?

[Katara glanced around and found a likely suspect. She retrieved it and handed it to him.]

Here you go.

[Aang accepts it without question.]

Wow, this hat looks like a head! Thanks! [He pulls it over his head while grinning broadly.] How do I look?

[Katara giggles.]

You look amazing, Avatar Aang.

[Or completely ridiculous. Come on, even KATARA can't take seriously wearing a hat that looks like it's about to eat you.]

[Aang laughs, too. It's all in good fun.]

Thanks. I should make this official Avatar headgear! But then we'd need extras for Roku and Korra.

I'm sure we could find something...

[A nod.]

It's a good thing they have such a great selection.

[He peruses the collecting of hats, the tassles of the Lorax hat waving about as he moves. He first takes up a Fez hat and examines it.] I feel like there's a hat like this back home.

That's a little boring in comparison, don't you think?

I guess so. It doesn't even have a face or many colors. [He discards the Fez and next chooses this number.] This would look really nice on Korra! I'm just not sure if she likes pink...

Oh, that is nice!

[She takes off the hat she's wearing and snatches the fuzzy cowboy hat to place it on her head, smiling.]

I think it looks gorgeous! It matches your outfit, too. [Did Aang ever learn fashion-bending?] It's like it was made for the Water Tribe.

It's really too hot for hats right now, anyway.

Maybe, except for hats that block out sunlight. But we could still wear some others around the house!

Yeah... I really like this one, too. It reminds me of nature, so it's good for summer and it doesn't look like it'll get you hot. And, y'know... I think it matches your clothes even better when it's the same color!

[Pff. But she blushes a little.]

It's way too fancy for me to wear every day.

[And starts to take it off and put it back.]

What about for special occasions, in case there's a party like the Earth King's? It could really come in handy.

I just mean if there's a party that's fancy! And maybe it would have something neat like Bosco. Other than that, it really wasn't worth our while. [As he talks, he scans the display again, and... WHOA, how did they miss this one?]

[She has no idea.]

I... don't think that's a hat.

[He cautiously picks it up, half-expecting it to come to life or suck him up, and he begins examining it from different angles.]

Then... what could it be?

...something else.

[She moves to take it from him. Let's just. Put that away. Somewhere. Out of sight, yes?]

[But Aang moves to put it back himself; this bizarre abomination is his burden to bear. He shoves it behind the display deep enough so that no one may glimpse it and suffer what they had, again.

Aang then looks back at Katara with a moment of silence. Somehow, that hat was more deafening than any awkward romantic moment.]

...It looked like it had stairs.
