[If you are passing by the Southmost bridge at just the right time, you will find it hard not to notice the girl in an unusual dress and boots facedown on the ground. One shoulder is strangely disjointed, and there are bruises up and down her arms, particularly violent ones around her wrists. She looks like nothing more than a broken and discarded doll.

As the sun continues to set, the coolness in the ground will cause her to start to stir. When she sits up, she grimaces, moving as if there might be something wrong with her ribs. If you happen to be looking at her as she does, you'll notice the sickening blue and yellow bruise spread across her right collarbone, the lovely shiner on her eye.

The wonderful thing about Luceti? Sometimes there's a journal right where you need it. She barely has enough presence of mind to make sure the picture points away from her face, but her voice is very tired.]

[Oh, Chopper, you're her hero. She's very barely keeping it together here. She shoots San a tremulous smile and nods at Michael, trusting herself completely to Chopper. She just wants to go home and - see everyone and - not have to be strong for a little while. She lets Chopper pick her up and rests against him.]

[With a sort of nod, San lets go of Katara and backs away. She doesn't want to be anywhere near that other man, with the gun, now that Chopper's leaving. But she doesn't want him to follow Chopper and Katara off, either]

[Unfortunately for San, he'll be doing just that- He knows it's not particularly necessary, but it's a fairly short walk, and shorter still to get back to his apartment if he cuts north through the forest from Katara's house. After pushing himself to his feet, he follows behind Chopper silently, Using the reindeer's back as a shield from Katara while he lets his frustration at everything finally show through.]

[Regardless of what San and Michael choose to do, Chopper will be making the trip to Katara's home in silence. His grip tightens very slightly when he realizes that Michael is staying behind him, but the man has been nothing but helpful so far.]

[After some walking, he'll finally speak up again; albeit very lowly.] Do you feel anything else that might be an injury, Katara?

[Katara appreciates your discretion, Chopper. And the hand that she's holding on to you with is in no way physically necessary. But she's clinging on tightly to the material of your shirt just the same. Her voice is equally low.]

My ribs might be a little bruised, but there's nothing else that hurts.
