If you're drafted and she knows you, Katara is looking for you. Specifically Derek, Straw Hats, Ginko, and Katie. So she'll be stopping by the Straw Hat and Infinite Undiscovery House (and if she runs into that knight - well, he'd just better watch what he says) and making a few filters.

This, of course, is after she's gone to see Sokka with a very specific 'request.']

You already know that they'll come at you from the skies. Their wings are larger than ours - and that allows them to fly. But it just makes them better targets. That's what you'll want to aim for - the sooner you kill them, the better. Because they don't stay down if they're injured, even if they're frozen. They'll hack off parts of their own bodies to keep coming at you, so don't turn your back, not even for a moment.

What sort of weaponry do they have?

Just the regular kinds - swords, maces, darts, daggers... I heard that some of them could use the elements, but not as well as benders. I never ran into any of them, though.
