So, we can use these things to contact everyone? That's pretty neat if really really weird. I think I'll start of writing, though, because talking to a book still seems like something Dock would do.
That's got to be annoying, for so many people to look at something if you just want to talk to one or two people. The guide said something about being able to filter these things? But I don't really see how that could work...
Tormod, you can have your cape back whenever you want. Have you found a place to stay yet?
And hey, if there's a Hugo or a Derek out there, I'd like to talk to you for a few minutes.
[So not one to stay copped up in the house, Katara is going to pack up her journal and her waterskin and bundle up. They're in the middle of a cold snap, but now that she has shoes the freezing doesn't really bother her so much. She's going to head on over to the grocery store to get some soup ingredients and check out the other buildings. She's friendly! Feel free to say hello!]

Hey Toph! I'm at the grocery store, do you want anything?

That's right! It's nice to see you around. How are you settling in?
[Action]
[Action]
It's fine, don't worry about it. Having you back just means a chance to get to know you again. And don't worry about the wings, either. They do feel a bit strange at first, but you'll get used to them after a while.
[Action]
How long have you been here, Rydia?
[Action]
I arrived just over a year ago. I was lucky enough to have people from home already present, but it did take a while to adjust to this place.
[Action]
[Action]
About half a dozen, now? That sounds right. We didn't arrive all at the same time, but I'd say pretty close together, and we've all been here pretty consistently. I'm not sure how typical that is, though. The one you're most likely to see around is Rosa--she sometimes volunteers at the Welcome Center, too.
[Action]
I see... [Awkward, talking to someone who knows her but who she doesn't know, especially someone as nice as Rydia] Would you mind telling me a little bit about what your world is like? I'm sure you told the other me all about it, but... [shrug]
[Action]
I don't think I said that much, before. My world is Earth, though it seems to be a different one than most people speak of, around here. There are a few kingdoms and a lot of wilderness in between them, and it's usually pretty peaceful. Beneath the surface is the Underworld, where dwarves and Eidolons live. We have two moons, and the smaller one is the home of another race, the Lunarians. My hometown is Mist, a quiet place in a mountain valley.
[A sheepish grin for rambling a bit there, but she does miss her world and it undoubtedly shows when she talks about it.]
I don't really know much about yours, just that elemental magic is common, right? No wait, you called it something else...bending?
[Action]
[Sorry, she's entranced.]
[Action]
As far as I know, my hair is green because...it just is. I'm a human, though it's not a common hair color anyway. I'm also a Summoner, someone who summons Eidolons--magical beings that help in battle. Unfortunately, that's one thing the Malnosso won't allow here, but that just gives me more reason to find a way out!
Dwarves are like humans, but shorter. They have really bright eyes and many are good with machines and forging weapons and the like. Most of them live at the Castle, though there's a few other places scattered around the Underworld.
Lunarians are appear much like humans, but they have magic of their own. I didn't see many of them; most are sealed away in a magic slumber. They plan to awaken when humanity's advanced enough that the two races can share Earth peacefully. Until then, we won't see the Red Moon again for a while. I'll be strange, not seeing it in the sky...but I'm getting used to just seeing one here.
[Action]
Wow. [She doesn't even know what to ask next, everything sounds so foreign. She latches onto one of the most important things to her - questions about the moon.]
So, your other moon was red? ...I've only seen our sky go red one before and that was... because of something very bad. But yours is that way all the time?
[Action]
As far as I know, it's always been that way. It's...not quite a real moon, anyhow. The Lunarians just created it as their resting place.
[She smiles a little wistfully, wishing that she could have met the Lunarians in greater detail.]
It's not like I always knew everything that I told you, so some of it still seems pretty strange to me, too, especially about the Red Moon. I can almost guarantee that there are stories and worlds stranger than mine, though.
[Action]
[Katara laughs a little and shakes her head.] It's hard to imagine that anything could be more strange and wonderful than that. How did you find out all this stuff, then, if it wasn't common knowledge?
[Action]
[She shakes her head with a small smile.]
I never got to ask them exactly how they made a moon, though.
[Action]
[Action]
I won't mind that at all. There isn't much to do at the center except wait for people to show up. A little storytelling can help pass the time. I'd like to hear more about your world, too.
[Action] -- sorry! Thought I responded to this!
[Gathering up her supplies, Katara grins at Rydia] It was good to 'meet' you again. I hope you have a good day!
[Action] 'Sokay!
[Rydia smiles, then gathers up her groceries, ready to head home.]
