[There's a somewhat familiar voice over the journals this afternoon. The setting is clearly the forest, as there are small woodland creatures scampering about. The voice itself seems to have an almost musical lilt to it.]

Hi, everyone! I'm back. I'm sorry if I worried you. Everything seems to be in one piece, and I'm making my way back to town now! Of course, my powers are missing, but they'll be back soon enough!

[Does it seem a little odd for Katara to be casually mentioning such an obvious weakness over an open network, or to be referring to her bending as 'powers?' It gets weirder. Because eventually she'll make her way out of the forest, and you may bump into her as she'll head towards the fountain and all around town. Is she... are those sparkles? And weren't her eyes blue? Why is her hair lighter? What is going on here?]

[You know, come to think of it, he hasn't quite seen Katara around since that whole wall-painting thing they did together. This would probably be the best time to check on her, regardless--he's rested up, and somewhat able to get around for once. As such, the first thing he does is...

[Katara. Is pirouetting her way through the village, leaving a trail of sparkles in her wake.

...except apparently her Mary Sue balance is not quite up to speed, because she trips over... nothing. And twists her ankle. And then sits there in tears about it.]

[...Blink. Blink. The moment he comes across her, that's about as much as he can do. One thing is going through his mind right now: double u, tee, eff. He does not remember you being so sensitive about this stuff.] Welcome back...?

[Katara sniffles, her shimmering silver eyes gleaming limiply in the afternoon light before she looks up and gasps.]

Uncle! It's so good to see you again!

...Just...WTF?] ...Uncle?

[She wipes the tears away from her luminous lavender eyes, smiling at him. Now that her uncle is here, everything will be all right.

...but he sounds confused. So she stares at him vapidly.]

[Have him staring right back, ma'am. You are freaking him out.]

Katara? Since when was I ever your uncle?

[Vapid blinking that clears into a smile.]

Since always! But of course we didn't know that until we got here.

[...Uh.

Uhhh.] ...I don't follow. Really, I don't.
