[After a romantic evening where they innocently fell asleep together, Katara wakes up first. It takes her a moment to place why she's outside. They always fell asleep fully clothed when they were traveling, so that was nothing new, but why was someone's arm is wrapped around her waist? And when she does remember, Katara absolutely freezes.

She feels sick and deeply violated, and she's not sure she's ever been more humiliated in her life. She can't turn around and look at Zuko -- she's just going to move as quietly and stealthily as possible, out of the tent and as far away as she can.

Regardless of whether or not she succeeds in escaping without waking him, as soon as she can she is going to find a quiet place on the outskirts of the village, hole up against something, and lose it.]


Worst. Town. Ever.

[After she's done crying and has tried to pull herself together? ...she knows she really should find Toph. And she'll get up to do that, eventually. Feel free to stumble across her as she's finishing up crying or as she starts looking for Toph in the late afternoon.]

Well, he's the kind of guy... I don't think he'd be very rational about it not being my fault, not with how angry I'm thinking he'll get. Hence the "for now."

There was only one I saw before this one, and it involved people doing jobs that they normally would never go near, like there's a kid here who's afraid of dogs, who ended up being a dog-walker. That kind of thing.

I'm sorry it turned out so badly.

[And there's nothing to shake Katara out of herself than someone else's problems.] What do you mean, you think he'll get angry at you? It's not your fault! [Which might be - depending on what happened with Zuko this morning - complete and total hypocrisy.] You don't think he'll try to hurt you, do you?

Well, maybe not angry at me, more like he'll lash out at me since I was the one he was affected with. Anger clouding judgment and all that.

As for him trying to hurt me... I don't know. Like I said, it didn't really go anywhere, so... I want to doubt it. I only spoke to him once before this, and let's just say he didn't strike me as the nicest person.

That's terrible. [Now she's wondering what it would have been like to fall for someone she didn't even know. Better... or worse? But more importantly...] He shouldn't be able to just take it out on you because he's angry. What's his name?

I don't think there's really a need to worry about it. I could be completely wrong and he might do nothing. I think it might be better to just wait and see.

I know what you mean, but... maybe it would be good to have someone with you when you talk to him next, just in case? I wouldn't mind, if you wanted the company.
