4th Wall Shenanigans!

[Whelp. Katara has no idea what's going on here. Suddenly, everything is crowded and there are people without wings and this isn't madness - it's LUCETI. So. She's just going to shrug and roll with it, basically.

Saturday has Katara out running errands and visiting friends, then making dinner for the house and practicing by the river in the evening.

Sunday has Katara sneaking away for a little bit and winding up in the hot springs. Masaomi's party had been a great idea, okay? And surely nothing weird would go on there, right?]

[She debates helping him up and beginning the long walk to the teleporter. It's not... actually that long of a walk, but it will be if she's helping carry Sokka while he's like this.]

[She frowns and moves the bottle out of the way.] No. You've had enough. What happened to you?

What-- What happened to me? [Unsure face here.] I just had... a few too many. Whatever that means.

No, you definitely had more than a few too many. [She shakes the bottle, determining that it's empty. Huh.] But why were you drinking so much in the first place?

Pffft, why not? [He waves off her question and turns to stumble his way toward the hot springs, tugging at his tunic to no avail.] More reasons-- *hic* --reasons than not. You're all grown up, everyone's fighting, b-but Azula's trying to be friendly... the world's up-side-down! [Tug, tug, that tunic is well-secured thankfully.]

[Uh, okay. She'll just follow along then since letting her falling down brother near the hot springs doesn't exactly translate into the best idea ever in her mind.]

If Azula's trying to be friendly, the world really is upside-down.

[FROWN. What sort of mess have you gotten yourself into, bro? Thinks the girl. In the bikini.]

Aww, who'm I kidding? I can't-- I can't even pick up my socks... [Then again, she did say something about a beard.] So... when I grow a beard I'll be all grown up? Katara, that doesn't-- how does that--? Really?

[...okay, big-little brother. Whatever you are. Have a comforting circle rubbed into your back for a moment.]

Actually, when you first grew the beard, I thought you looked pretty silly. But I guess you sort of... grew into it. [A pause, and she puts her hand in her lap, staring into the hot spring.] We've been taking care of each other a long time, Sokka, and I always know I can count on you. Even when things get to be too much. [Except for when you're on cactus juice or otherwise drunk off your gourd, of course.]

So even if things are really bad and confusing, just... keep being there. And it'll work out okay.

[Uuuuuunfortunately, Sokka is drunk. And he's going to waste your wisdom like a noob.]

Katara... this is one weird dream.

[He doesn't know what else to do, so he grabs on, tightly hugging her.] Well, since this is a dream, I can say-- *hic* I think I can say we're good siblings, but sometimes I get so confused. I wish dad was around... to an-- to answer questions and help out.

...and it's been four years for Katara since she was able to rely on their dad. She still loves him, and she still misses him, but even in that brief time of seeing him... she was the one taking care of Hakoda, Sokka was the one making plans... it wasn't enough.

I wish we could depend on him too, Sokka.]

...yeah, that would be nice.
