Her own birthday was in two short days, and she didn't want to think of how old she'd grown, or about having a party now that the ocean was gone and so many things had changed.
Instead, she took the day off from work and put on a simple green dress in the style Nami had favored, put some special pin in her hair, and made her way up to the mikan grove carrying a bag of pruning tools. Anyone is welcome to come along, but it will be hot, thirsty work.
And that is why when she's finished, Katara decides to take up her fruit slushy stand once more. It's been years since she first did this with Sokka -- maybe he'd be interested in manning the fruit slicing again, if she can find him to track him down -- and if not, she'll take care of it.
