[Christmas is not a holiday Katara is otherwise familiar with - and her journey to understand it has been bumpy. But what she does understand of it leads her to believe that it's a time especially set apart to show the people who you care about that you care about them. And if Toph going home - again - wasn't enough of a reminder to show the people that she cared about that she cared, the grim result of the draft certainly drove that point home.

So she's been very quietly busy getting presents together for as many people as she can.]

[Right, so, trying to get that taken care of, Katara will be stopping by the Infinite Undiscovery House, the Straw Hat House, and Raine and Caesar's house. She'll also be looking for a whole bunch of other people ~~and hopefully I won't forget anyone~~ for presents-giving: Ginko, Derek, Diana, Hitsugaya, Alexis, San, Ami, Vash, Masaomi, Kurt, and Michael. Housemates, she's got presents for you too. Just 'cause.

ETA: This here is a list for what your character is getting! Presents can be dropped off without having to tag in, no worries!]

[For no very specific reason at all, Katara is happy this late afternoon. The air is getting colder, and the very fact that it's nipping at her face is enough to make her smile. Add to that the glorious storm of yesterday, that it is still drizzling...

It's started drizzling as she runs her errands in town, and she puts a hand up to bend an 'umbrella' above her head as she walks along. She forgets herself, though, as she comes to some large puddles in the road, and dropping her hand, stares at them for half a beat.

Well, she's already wet.

So she jumps in. Not bending at all, simply splashing about in the puddles along her way.

Feel free to catch her in this rare display of immaturity and glee - or even join her! Hopefully she won't catch a cold.

Much later, as she prepares dinner for her house, she makes a voice post.]

[Today, Katara is on a mission. There are people she has to thank for giving her presents, and to that purpose she has prepared small pressed impressions of dried goldenrods in glass (thank you, Usopp and the item shop) or pressed into paper with the words 'Thank You' written on it, depending on what she thinks you'll like more. Yes, this has taken her all week.

She will either be dropping them off at your house, or meeting with you personally to touch base with you. There are a few other people she's on the look out for in particular, and several side missions she also hopes to accomplish. Feel free to bump into her at any point as she goes about her business, whether or not there is a dried flower for you!]

[After a good cry, some good advice, and throwing down with the whole of Luceti against Aku the other day, Katara is feeling much more like herself. And she is on a mission. She can be found mid-afternoon heading towards whatever store in Luceti sells paint.

Fire Nation Red in her living room? Not anymore!]

Let's see... I guess I could go blue with green accents... or maybe something even more neutral? Maybe find a cream... No, no orange, it's too close to red...

[Katara has never had a chance to play with paints and colors before! She's a little lost with all the options. She just knows that she wants to make their shared space an open, welcoming one, one that represents all of them ~~and even the one that they're missing~~ and one which won't remind her of that stupid experiment's 'misplaced decimal.' But she has come far enough that she doesn't want it to just chase out Zuko either, although she is perfectly happy never seeing him again. Clearly, the girl is expecting too much out of paint. Someone help?]
