But I can tell you something else - every time I've told him to back off in the context of our conversations, he's done it. He's made his feelings clear, and sometimes in order to do that he's had to push me past where I'm comfortable in a conversation, but that's fair. You can't just cut off someone because you don't want to hear what they're saying.
All the same, I have no doubt in my mind that if I had told him he needed to stop, he would have.
