[It makes no sense for a known and proud waterbender to step out of the fountain in the middle of winter and remain soaking wet. But yet, that is exactly what she is doing: getting out of the fountain, her arms wrapped around herself, shivering, and looking both confused and frightened... and younger. About three years younger, to be exact.]

Katara, properly attired to face the winter thanks to your friendly neighborhood Clothing Shop, can be seen:

a) Stopping and staring at the snow, as if she hasn't seen any in a very, very long time
b) Entering the Welcome Center to get the maps/layout of the place
c) Stalking House 56. She will not enter. She will likely not be seen, as she is administering a frightening amount of skill at sticking to the shadows, but you might catch her as she starts to walk away...
d) Checking out a Community Building for a spare room.

((Katara, returned from her mallynap, is experiencing this AU. Feel free to bump into her anywhere, but don't be too surprised if she doesn't respond to her name. It's been a long time since she's called herself anything Water Tribe.))

[A sixth sense tells him something is weird, but he just chalks it up to it being a Katara who doesn't remember him. The smile doesn't have the cues of lying he's long used to. Instead, he puts own his own flawless smile as the gears turn in his head on how to answer that.]

Well, there is an older woman normally around these parts with a strikingly similar face to yours.

Mmm. It wouldn't be the sort of estimate a young woman like yourself's age, but I'd say at least a year or two.

[About the same age difference as Sokka, then.]

Do you know her well?

Maaaah, not really. [he lied through his teeth, effortlessly. He's sue his eyes betray him, but he's also sure this Katara wouldn't know it. Though he does feel his heart skip a beat at that lie] I've seen her around.

[She tilted her head slightly, inquiring.]

Not even her name?

Hahaha, well, far be it from me to not know the name of a pretty girl. Her name's "Katara" - Mmm, that's right, it's Katara-san~ [he adds the honorific, though it again makes his heart beat a little, he says it smoothly, with a chuckle[

[The name doesn't appear to ring any bells for Katara.]

I'll have to tell her you say hello if I meet her.

[Meanwhile, her mind races.]

Mmm, might be good. Who knows? In a crazy place like this, you could be related somehow!

You mean get me up to your room, right? [Katara shook her head.] No thanks. I'll find another place to stay.
