[Katara has now had some time to adjust to this strange new place. She's stalked the people she supposedly knows. She's read back in the book. She's gone so far as to attempt the new technology that would take her to the ocean and back and found how truly trapped they were.

Now that everything was a little less raw, the crushing certainty that she was trapped here with people who claimed to know her, people who claimed to be her family, demanded a response.

She couldn't just run away. It was a failing of hers. The only reason she'd run was if it was to form a better plan of attack. But how could you attack when the threat was... being known? Or... being known enough. There were questions and she wanted answers.

So while Katara wasn't overtly looking for anyone who claimed to know her, she was willing to let herself be found, and wandered into places where that would be quite easy.]

After the break up, Suki basically just wanted to stay inside. She didn't want to see anyone or do anything really. Her heart still felt basically broken. But she coudln't stay like this. She couldn't lock herself away and hope that her problems fixed themselves. Facing the world all at once wasn't really, but maybe just a walk. Something to get her out of the house.

She wasn't really looking for anyone. Rather she was just out on a walk to help clear her mind when she noticed Katara. For a moment, Suki said nothing. What was she supposed to say?

"Um... Katara?" Testing the waters, in case it was still the same Katara from before. The Katara with the altered memories.

Katara turned to face her. "Suki, right?"

Though she remembered the other girl's n ame. It was fatal to make that kind of mistake.

Yup. Not back to normal yet. That troubled Suki, but she tried not to show it on her face. Not that Suki was showing much emotion. Everything was muted for her.

"Yeah. That's me. How are you doing?"

Are you asking because you're being polite, or because you really want to know?

Either way, her response would be similar.

"I'm... adapting. This place is very strange."

"I know. This place can be really hard to get used to. But you don't have to get used to it on your own."

"I'm not so sure about that," she said slowly. "It seems that the longer I'm here, the more I find that most people, when they talk to me, are expecting someone else."

"I... kinda know how that feels. But still, people are understanding here." Even though Sokka broke her heart, she still believed that the people here were kind enough to understand that.
