[Katara has now had some time to adjust to this strange new place. She's stalked the people she supposedly knows. She's read back in the book. She's gone so far as to attempt the new technology that would take her to the ocean and back and found how truly trapped they were.

Now that everything was a little less raw, the crushing certainty that she was trapped here with people who claimed to know her, people who claimed to be her family, demanded a response.

She couldn't just run away. It was a failing of hers. The only reason she'd run was if it was to form a better plan of attack. But how could you attack when the threat was... being known? Or... being known enough. There were questions and she wanted answers.

So while Katara wasn't overtly looking for anyone who claimed to know her, she was willing to let herself be found, and wandered into places where that would be quite easy.]

[Airbending practice certainly does interest Katara. In fact, any kind of bending which wasn't firebending interested her, especially practiced in the open, and by children who didn't have to be afraid.

She hadn't known what that was like for a long time.

So she approached and sat on a stone, watching Ikki quite openly. Only creepers watch children practice from the shadows, kids.]

[ Ikki's practiced every day of her life in the open, often with other people around. It's also something that helps keep her occupied and clear her head, in addition to being useful. And in addition to not being extra homework for, say, math.

She cuts the forms short when she notices Katara, although she does finish off, ending with a slightly silly bow in her not-grandmother's direction - something she might normally do, although Katara wouldn't remember it.

No one had said anything about not approaching Katara if she was approached first, so Ikki will skip over, although she'll stop further back than she normally would, looking cautiously thrilled. ] Hi! How are you today? Are you doing okay? Did you find someplace nice to stay? I hope you did. Although there are lots of nice places to stay, so you probably did, right?
