[Due to Sokka's unexpected bout of sheer win, Katara has been given the gift of free time and she plans on making the most of it... after she was shooed back to bed due to threats from Sokka that made no sense at all.
First, she wants to check in on Sanji at the Strawhat's House. Then she wants to stop by the school and see if she can register to go once things are back to 'normal.' And... she has an idea that is going to lead her to the weapons shop. Finally, she'll go grocery shopping because they're running low on easy-to-cook things. Maybe she'll even get a chance to stand by the bridge and practice with real waterbending! ...although saving her strength to keep healing Zuko is probably a better idea. She'll probably just stare at the water wistfully and talk to Sona.
If you're around any of these places today, feel free to say 'Hey!' or give her hand, since she's not exactly sure how to do what she wants to do at the smithy or the school.]

...so they accused you of treason because they didn't like you? That's terrible!
[action]
[action]
[Your world makes no sense.]
[action]
[action]
I think I'm beginning to get the picture of what living in your country might be like.
[Because it seems to make just as much sense as deciding punishments by spinning a giant wheel.]

[action]
[She so utterly fails at looking innocent.]
[action]
[action]
...and yes, okay, he's Sokka's friend but he was also in an army and it is Sokka's weapon shop so he'll probably find out she was here anyway.]
I'm a waterbender. That's how I was trained to fight. But in this place, how strong my ability is, how useful I can be... depends on the Malnosso. If they chose to take my bending away... [Or if she returned from a mallynapping like Toph...]
So I thought I would come down here and take a look at what other options there are.
[action]
[action]
...she gets the feeling Nash doesn't give explanations out often.]
I've used a spear before. At home. But... [But she's not sure how comfortable she'd be using something that was so immediately fatal. At least with water she had the option, first and foremost, to detain or trap.]
Re: [action]
[And then he'll launch into an explanation. Because maybe empty facts will take away from the unease.]
Silent Lake's a technique that prevents all other magic from being cast for a time. It's ironic because you need a fair bit of magical training and talent to use it, when it's most beneficial people who can't cast.
[action]
And... I'm not sure what I have in mind, really. [She turns to look at the row of weapons in the shop. Darts like Mai? Her accuracy with ice spikes wasn't so much a result of aim as it was precision of intent. ...what would work?]
[action]
[action]
[She pauses to consider what Nash has said about a weapon. What does she want to accomplish with it? What does anyone want to accomplish with a weapon?] I want to be able to defend myself and my friends, and stop my opponent.
[action]
So, you want to stop your opponent, but you don't want to kill them?
[action]
...I believe that life is sacred. That doesn't mean that there aren't times when you have to kill. But... I'd rather not have that be my first option.

[action]
What is she doing? This is crazy - she's a bender, she doesn't need...And her train of thought is handily cut off at Nash's offer.]Really? What? [Nash's dramatics are met with unabashed curiosity, as her face lightens and she looks at him expectantly.]
