[Due to Sokka's unexpected bout of sheer win, Katara has been given the gift of free time and she plans on making the most of it... after she was shooed back to bed due to threats from Sokka that made no sense at all.

First, she wants to check in on Sanji at the Strawhat's House. Then she wants to stop by the school and see if she can register to go once things are back to 'normal.' And... she has an idea that is going to lead her to the weapons shop. Finally, she'll go grocery shopping because they're running low on easy-to-cook things. Maybe she'll even get a chance to stand by the bridge and practice with real waterbending! ...although saving her strength to keep healing Zuko is probably a better idea. She'll probably just stare at the water wistfully and talk to Sona.

If you're around any of these places today, feel free to say 'Hey!' or give her hand, since she's not exactly sure how to do what she wants to do at the smithy or the school.]

[She shrugs.] OK. It's there if you ever want to check it out. [...not being the only new person would have been kind of nice.] Did you have a school where you're from?

We did, but I didn't go. Master didn't stay anywhere long enough for it.

What about you?

[She shakes her head.] My Gran Gran taught us how to read and write, and basic math. But Sokka and I are the only ones our age in the village... maybe when some of the little kids get older, we'll need something like that.

[And in return you get an absolutely brilliant smile, Allen, because despite everything? Learning this still makes her happy.] Sokka and Toph told me that we did it. Aang defeated the Fire Lord - apparently Zuko and I defeated Azula - and they helped stop the Fire Nation army from completely destroying the Earth Kingdom. We did it. It's finally over.

So. [And she's still - just happy] Thank you for asking. It reminded me of something good.

Heh. Odd doesn't even begin to cover it. [She shakes her head.] But at least I didn't attack Zuko on sight. That would have made things even-- yeah.

[And subject change before she manages to open up that can of awkward completely.] Being totally dependent on someone else to fill you in about things you were supposed to have done - or things that you did with someone else - was definitely not fun. But it worked out all right - sometimes you just have to do the best you can with what you've got... and that's it.
