Aang didn't come out for breakfast today. When I went in his room to check on him, all his stuff was gone. ...I guess this means he went home, right?

And all the stuff in the kitchen is different - does anyone know how they're supposed to work? ~~Or how they got in here without waking us up, because -- seriously, creepy.~~

[Katara is not so sure about that. She is not, in fact, so sure about any of this.] But where is the heat coming from?

A gas oven I can understand, but that box didn't even have any fire!

[He waves a hand dismissively.] I'm sure I'll find an explanation for it in some science book. There were bright lights on in there, you know. I touched the one they put in my room and it was really hot. Maybe the lights in there are just really, really hot.

[He shuts the dishwasher door and messes with the dials. Is that the sound of running water?]

Sure. ((OoC: You'll have to bear with me throughout this; the magic in Fairy Tail isn't well-defined in comparison to some other series.)) Magic can be broken down into two basic types, it seems: internal and external. Internal is magic that is generated by your own body, such as breathing fire or shape-shifting, while external is magic that involves objects, like summoning creatures from other dimensions or my type of magic, ex-quip, which lets me summon weapons or armour.

If you're good with a certain type, it will be easier for you to learn magic of that type over magic of the other type. For example, of my friends, Natsu can breathe fire, so it was easier for him to learn how to shape-shift, while Lucy summons spirits to fight alongside her, so shape-shifting was much more difficult for her to learn. Do you follow?

[Well she does have a point. He'll come back and stare at the racks. They did seem designed to hold certain things. He eyes it... and then the bowl of beans. And then he gets an idea.

He dumps the bowl of beans out in the garbage and then sets the bowl on one of the racks.] Yeah. That should do it.

[He'll go ahead and grab the dishes they used for breakfast and stack them in there too. This may be a bit alarming for you, Katara, but Sokka is essentially washing the dishes now. One it's all loaded, he'll close the door and let it come back on.] And now we wait.

Nope. But they do in fairy-tales, so I've heard of it all before.

Hearing it all before and actually seeing it are different things, don't you think?

I guess it was pretty cool the first week. But then I got used to it, so it became boring.

Maybe you're just not trying hard enough to find something interesting. Have you started going to the school here?

Aa, we're doing all right. Things are kind of quiet, lately. But that's good.
