[She's still stiff and sore from the fight with Aku, but thanks to the healing she's received, by Tuesday Katara is whole. And that means that she and Zuko are about to have a very long overdo talk. With Azula here now, they can't afford to have any room for her to manipulate them. And there are certain issues from the last experiment that they never had a chance to resolve.

And equally practically, Zuko needed to prove to her that she was better so that she didn't have to worry about trying to keep him inside anymore.

So they go off to find a clearing, near enough to some water and far enough away from trees so that if things get out of control, well, they'll be fine. Because somehow, in the back of her head? Katara knows that this is just not going to be that simple.]

OK, you remember the deal. If you can bring me to a tie, or beat me, I'll agree that you're fine.

(OOC: If you want to talk to Katara, she'll be wandering around after this, trying to clear her head, NOT wanting to go back to the house. But please leave the thread with Zuko alone. Thanks! ^^;)

[Have a tall cloaked figure following you around for a while after the Zuko sparing session, trying to figure out just what the heck you are. A water-type human? That's new.]

[Katara's wandering around without anything specific in mind, and doesn't pick up on the follower. She stops in the middle of one of the bridges, and stares out at the water.]

[Mewtwo will actually set himself down on the bridge, rather than hovering a couple inches over it. The cloak makes a slight ruffling noise, and the dispersing telekinetic energies create a few ripples in the water as they move outward. Time to see just how observant this curiosity was.]

[At the noise Katara glances behind her shoulder to see a strange cloaked figure. Well, given her experience with Aku, that has her straightening up and turning around, a very mild smile on her face.]

Oh - hello. You startled me.

[Mewtwo simply stood there, head tilting to one side slightly. He was curious as to just what it was he was sensing from her, and he couldn't exactly discern it, so foreign from anything he knew. However, after a long pause a voice radiates from the journal floating at his side.]

Show me what you can do... Katara of the Southern Water Tribe...

[HOW DID HE KNOW HER NAME?]

[Yeah, OK, this is seriously not good.]

[And Katara slides into a ready stance.]

Who are you? How do you know my name, and where I'm from?

[OOC: I'm assuming Mewtwo got this info because he is somehow psychic? I don't know anything about the canon... is there a permission's post I missed? Katara has zero psychic blocking ability, so that's all good, but I have to admit this took me by surprise!]

[There is no movement from beneath the cloak, other than what appears to be a light purple appendage dropping down to the bridge behind the oddly misshaped feet just barely visible beneath the cloak.]

I am what I am. [And that's the only kind of explanation he's giving for the moment.]

[OOC: Mewtwo is a genetically enhanced clone of what is supposed to be the strongest psychic Pokemon there is, so yeah, he's got some mind reading capabilities, though with the barrier hampering his powers, getting names and the like is all he can do really. And no, no permissions post yet. I plan on getting one up for Mewtwo, Kefka, and Tellah later today though.]

[Sadly, when Katara's scared she defaults to belligerence.]

Yeah? Well, so am I. And I don't know how you found out what you know about me, but coming up to people and demanding a demonstration is just plain rude.

[OOC: OK, cool! Thanks for explaining it to me! \o/]

[He did not need his powers for that. It was obvious to him just from observing her.]

Etiquette is not a concern for me.

[And that statement is like a slap - she's scared all right, but since when has she let that stop her? Never again.]

Well, you should. It doesn't matter who you are or how powerful you are, that doesn't give you the right to boss people around. If you want to get to know people, you're better off just asking, not treating them like experiments. We all have enough of that in this place.

[Mewtwo smirks slightly to himself beneath the hood, not that Katara would be able to see it. After all, to him, this IS an experiment. That, however, was not the point, and kept it to himself for the moment.]

'Courtesy' is a notion that is purely human in its derivation. I have no need for such foolish thoughts.

That's just ridiculous. Spirits have different ways of addressing each other, let alone for a 'human' to talk to a spirit. Even animals behave a certain way to each other! You're just being rude, because you think you can come up to someone and scare them into doing what you want with that cloak covering your face and whatever powers you have. Well, this is Luceti, and there are a lot of people with powers. You'd better learn a little courtesy if you want to get by here.

[And with that, Katara will start to storm off.]

[Mewtwo used Block! Katara will be finding an invisible wall blocking her path.]

I made no comment regarding communication, simply the human notion of etiquette. But since you seem determined to remain stubborn, perhaps another motivator is in order...

[There's a brief instant before the clap of thunder can be heard overhead, despite there being no evidence of cloud cover.]

[And now she's starting to get pissed off. Katara whirls around.]

Let me get this straight. You want a demonstration of my power? And if I don't - you'll what, try to kill me? Hurt me? All to get what you want?

[That was sort of the point after all.]

Whatever motivation works.

[Katara smiles an unpleasant smile, sliding into a ready stance.]

Try saying 'please.' Because I don't care how much stronger you are, or how much you can hurt me, or even if you kill me. I'll fight you off as best as I can without bending, but I won't take orders from you.

[There's still no visible movement beneath the hood. Though, rest assured there is an arched eyebrow to be sure. This one was a curious one to be sure.]

You would sooner die for your pride? You truly are a foolish human in that case...

It's not about pride. It's about the principle. The strong doesn't get to go take from the weak, or do whatever it wants to, simply because they're strong. I've shown anyone here who's asked a demonstration of my waterbending. Some of them have been much, much stronger than me. And some of them have had no visible form of strength. The difference is that they asked.

I don't know who you are, but you don't get to go around and just take whatever you want. You don't get to hurt people without consequences. I'm not saying no because I'm offended, I'm saying no, because yes, I would rather die then give in to a tyrant.

[But don't think I'll die easily. Even though without her bending, Katara knows she has next to no chance of fighting well - this is what she's been training for since coming to Luceti. Looks like she should start carrying around that bo.]

[He had to hand it to her, she had spirit. That spirit was commendable to be sure. To say that he was put a bit more at ease when she put it like that was an understatement. He chuckled a little, though it sounded more like a high-pitched grunt, one that actually originated from within the hood. The voice, however, remained firmly planted in the journal.]

You are indeed a rarity, Katara of the Southern Water Tribes... I am about to show you something, however, I need to take precautions to ensure that none see it. I'll take precautions that you do not reveal anything in due time...

[Two blue orbs flare to life beneath the cloak before the water beneath the bridge shot upward and froze hard with an icy sheen clouding the surface. The water had even frozen as it came over the bridge itself, sealing the pair off from the rest of the world. After all, should his assumption be right, this should be no threat to Katara, but that wasn't the point. Once the makeshift barrier was in place, the cloak shifted unbidden, and fell to the ground. Mewtwo stretched slightly as if it was cramped within the confines of the cloak, and even grew a couple inches before sinking back into a more comfortable stance.]

I, am Mewtwo.
