[She doesn't understand why Sokka likes hacking filters so much. Her attempts so far have been met with nothing good. After looking at Ty Lee and Sokka's conversation yesterday... Katara has come to some conclusions. But that's far from the only thing that needs to be dealt with today, and so she takes out her journal to make some posts.]
I hope everyone is okay after yesterday. The houses should be back in order, but... if anyone needs any help moving things around or getting new furniture, there should be a bunch of us who'll be around to help. Just let me know and I'll try to get something organized, okay? We're all in this together, after all.
[Filtered to the Straw Hat Crew, 50 percent]
I guess the party is off today? I'm really sorry about that - maybe she'll calm down in a little while? I hope so...
[Filtered to Ty Lee, 70 percent]
I think we need to talk. Where would you like to meet?
I know you hacked this, Sokka. And leaving off just how wrong this still is - don't worry. I just want to talk to her.
[And after this post, Katara can be found slicing the five trees around her house into manageable sized bits of lumber, responding to journal entries, and eventually wandering around to where ever Ty Lee says that she'd like to meet.]

Hey.

[And she gestures to another rock.]

What is your problem? I've been nothing but nice to you - why are you asking if Sokka is 'allowed' to hang out with you? Don't you think that if I had a real problem with it, I would have said something? You're treating me like I'm just something that's in the way with hanging out with Sokka, and not as a person, and I've got to wonder why.
[If you're just playing around with him...]
[ Action ]
You're nice to me, but it's not like you actually like me. So I don't get why you bother at all. Anyway, I mostly just teasing, but I know that it's because of you that he doesn't want to learn stuff from me anymore.
[ Action ]
[You know. Join Azula. Hunt down the Avatar. Help take over Ba Sing Se. Protect your friend, even though you were scared. Not seem to care that anything you've done could have affected anyone other than yourself.]
I'm being nice to you because I'm trying to get to know you. In a few months after I get home, the war will be over. And there is no war here. If it could happen anywhere, people should be allowed to be people here, not just what nation they're from... but it's not so easy to forget. [She glances to the side for a moment and then turns her gaze back to Ty Lee.] Especially when all that you really know about a person is that they were willing to hunt down the Avatar.
[ Action ]
I know what I did. But can't understand what it's like, what Azula's really like. I didn't pick the Fire Nation, and I didn't start the war. Maybe if I had found the Avatar I could have fought for good or whatever, but I got Azula.
[ Action ]
The reason why we fought against the Fire Nation was because we wanted to be able to live, and we wanted other people to be able to live too. Do you know what Ozai planned to do on the day of Sozin's comet? When you were traveling through the Earth Kingdom with Azula, did you even see people? [She pauses - that wasn't fair.] Do you now?
[ Action ]
And I fought with the Fire Nation because I wanted to live. I tried running away, and that didn't work. What else should I have done? Just died?
[ Action ] Gaaaaaah, sorry I failed on this
I 'got to team up?' You're making it sound like I planned all this - and let me make something clear to you right now - I don't care why you joined Azula. All that matters to me is that you did. There's nothing that you can say or do that can explain it away, especially if you're telling me that you already knew it was wrong, and did it anyway just because you were scared!
What I asked you here to talk about was if you had actually learned anything, if seeing the rest of the world meant that you'd changed - at all. But if you're still sitting here telling me that your life is more important than the fate of the entire world, then I guess not.
[And she stands up, ready to go.]
[ Action ] Yes, yes you did B|
You just don't understand! Sucky stuff happened to everyone because of the war. Maybe you got more of it but that doesn't mean you were the only one.
I can't change the things I did, and I can't atone for them either! I'm just trying to move on.
Maybe you should too.
[ Action ]
You just don't get it, do you. This isn't about who suffered the most - at least I still had my dad. I still have Sokka. There are some people who lost everything.
Are you going to tell them to 'move on' too, and act like nothing affected you at all? Or maybe you just don't care about anyone other than yourself. You think it's so simple? When was the last time somebody hurt you, Ty Lee. Really hurt you, not just threatened. [Katara takes one step closer, glaring all the time.] Has that even happened to you? Ever? [Would you like it to?] Imagine it, if you can. And then they just told you to move on and forget it. It's not a big deal. You should just get over it.
Let me tell you something - [And she marches right up to her] - until you realize that other people are actually people, who are just as important as you - you are never going to move on. You'll always be afraid. You don't even have the courage to face what you did, and just say that you're going to try to change! Instead, you just want to forget about it. Like it never even happened. Well it did. And that's not good enough.
Grow up. [And she'll be walking off now.]
