Hey, Caesar! Do you mind if I stop by this afternoon? [Because mind or not, she is coming. But before she gets there, if you asked after her while she had eye-mushi and she hasn't spoken to you yet, she's looking for you. She will be all about town, since she doesn't know where some of you live. She also plans on checking in with Sokka and the rest of the Gaang at some point today.]
[And later in the evening, after dinner and far past when she is usually fast asleep, you can find Katara practicing not far from her house. Since Ginko died she's been robbed of her rest - combine that with the draft list being posted and she's decided to cope the only way she knows how - by using the time to find some peace. For that purpose, she is doing a special form. She runs through the first without doing any bending at all. When she repeats it, she bends thin tendrils of water up and around and over, following the movements of her hands - and when one catches her eye she freezes it in place, creating a small practice area of frozen arches and swirls.
They won't last long, especially not in the heat of a summer night. That's not the point. That's not the point at all.]

Maybe. I don't know - how do you usually use water?
[action]
[action]
[action]
[And because this really is impossible to explain, she'll make that point:]
How do you use it?
[action]
I 'bend' it. It's hard to explain... It's just something I've always done, almost like how I've always been able to hear.

Re: [action]
[action]
[Man, if only. That would have solved so many problems on her journeys.]
Re: [action]
You can also do it. It's the same technique. The moisture is already in the air. I'll show you, if you want.
[Wait for it... wait for it...]
In return for teaching me.
[There it is.]
[action]
I'm not sure it's the same thing, or something that can be passed between worlds. I can pull moisture from the air. [And she waves her hand in the air and does so.] But it's not the same as what you did.
[She holds up the hand between them.] You got a lot more water out of the air than I did, see?
Re: [action]
I wonder if it's that different.
[action]
Re: [action]
[She says. But it's actually true; she's used a different ice sword before this in this life, and her special weapon is also a sword, like Jupiter's is a halberd.]
[action]
Re: [action]
[action]
What was that? Some kind of magic?
Re: [action]
[You walked right into that one, Katara. And Mercury looks rather proud of herself.]
[action]
[OK, so she doesn't know what that is, but it doesn't sound good.]
Re: [action]
The energy we use is called dark energy or negative energy.
[action]
[Because, her concept of energy is limited to that which exists in the universe.]
Re: [action]
[Mmhmm. Because it's healthy to rely on a demon. Really.]
[action]
...that seems odd.]
Who's she?
Re: [action]
[Yep. Very healthy.]
[action] And the award for 'incredibly slow this week' goes to... ME - sorry D:
And you don't see anything wrong with that?
[action] no worries!
[action] ...I hate failing notifications forever.
[action] same *sobs*
