[Today, Katara is on a mission. There are people she has to thank for giving her presents, and to that purpose she has prepared small pressed impressions of dried goldenrods in glass (thank you, Usopp and the item shop) or pressed into paper with the words 'Thank You' written on it, depending on what she thinks you'll like more. Yes, this has taken her all week.

She will either be dropping them off at your house, or meeting with you personally to touch base with you. There are a few other people she's on the look out for in particular, and several side missions she also hopes to accomplish. Feel free to bump into her at any point as she goes about her business, whether or not there is a dried flower for you!]

[She flushes - it's embarrassing. To be caught with the fire spirit wanting to talk to her. She stomps her foot in a fit of temper and hears Eferin laugh before he fades away.]

Yes, well... [change the subject, change the subject - she reaches into her bag and pulls out the pressed goldenrod - this one is pressed in a small rectangle of glass, about as long as a thumb.] This is for you. It's a Thank You.

Mm-- when it's not raining. The mountain, otherwise. There are still a lot of places I haven't been, out that way.

Isn't it hot, though? [The summer. She does not LIKE it. He may have noticed her total regression to her Fire Nation clothes.]

Things at home - oh, you mean, now that Roku's gone back. [Because this isn't home. And this is a test. To get through it without wincing. She pretty much passes.] It's... hard. But we're all busy, training hard for the draft.

[Home is where your family is-- but he just nods. Any reaction he has to "the draft" is carefully veiled.] I'd imagine. Sokka seems to have quite a few teachers. [he has theeeories on this point. That he isn't willing to share. Nor does he much care for the topic.]

Yeah... [She has her theories too. Especially after speaking with Sokka and Sanji. She looks down, because his distinct 'non-reaction' is a reaction all its own, and because she doesn't really want to talk about it either, and because she hates what happened earlier today, and because she refuses to apologize for being herself, even though something about Sokka's brokenness in this area makes her want to.]

Hopefully he won't wear himself out.

I'm thinking of seeing if I can do some shifts at the clinic. Maybe learn a little bit about medicine that isn't so tied up with... powers.

My medical knowledge is pretty outdated in some places [and too ADVANCED for his own hypothetical era that doesn't actually even exist but, details details]-- but if you ever have questions about plants and herbs [smirk] it seems those tend to stay the same from decade to decade.
