[Today, Katara is on a mission. There are people she has to thank for giving her presents, and to that purpose she has prepared small pressed impressions of dried goldenrods in glass (thank you, Usopp and the item shop) or pressed into paper with the words 'Thank You' written on it, depending on what she thinks you'll like more. Yes, this has taken her all week.
She will either be dropping them off at your house, or meeting with you personally to touch base with you. There are a few other people she's on the look out for in particular, and several side missions she also hopes to accomplish. Feel free to bump into her at any point as she goes about her business, whether or not there is a dried flower for you!]
[Courtesy 15 percent filter to the people addressed, so as to not spam your journals if you don't want to see it.]
Ginko, where are you today?
Allen - are you busy today? I'd like to stop by.
Brook... [there is some hesitation here] can I ask you a question?
[/filter]
[And sometime after the conversation with Sanji, you'd better believe that she's hunting her brother down. Where will she find him? Will she have to hold his dinner hostage?]

[don't ask him how he knows that >__>;; ]

[And so she starts to walk. He's clearly given her the shorter end of the journey, but she doesn't mind... until she ends up having to wait in the forest for a time, and a Certain Spirit takes that as an invitation.]
Go. Away.
no subject
Don't mind him. He's an ass.
...ow.
no subject
Hey. Sorry about that.
no subject
He does the same thing to me.
no subject
Yes, well... [change the subject, change the subject - she reaches into her bag and pulls out the pressed goldenrod - this one is pressed in a small rectangle of glass, about as long as a thumb.] This is for you. It's a Thank You.
[And she's suddenly doubting, because the value of the two gifts are so disparate - maybe I should have made him the note instead]

Katara... [you didn't need to..] it's very pretty. Did you make it?
no subject
I hope you like it. I know it's not much, but... it's just a thank you.
no subject
What? He's pragmatic.
And also bad at accepting thank yous, when he can't punctuate his acceptance by walking away into a sunset.]
Hmm. [smiling, putting it in his pocket. Smiling.] I do like it.
no subject
And then a little bit of awkward creeps back in.]
That was it. Like I said, it's not not that important but - I wanted you to have it.

[a careful pause] How're things at home?
no subject
Things at home - oh, you mean, now that Roku's gone back. [Because this isn't home. And this is a test. To get through it without wincing. She pretty much passes.] It's... hard. But we're all busy, training hard for the draft.
no subject
[Home is where your family is-- but he just nods. Any reaction he has to "the draft" is carefully veiled.] I'd imagine. Sokka seems to have quite a few teachers. [he has theeeories on this point. That he isn't willing to share. Nor does he much care for the topic.]
no subject
Hopefully he won't wear himself out.
no subject
[It's just all so pointless. What are you doing?
but he smiles a little, instead] I'm sure you'll make sure he rests. Just don't forget to do the same.
no subject
[...let's change the topic, because she can feel that disapproval, and, well. It's nothing she can help.]
I'm thinking of seeing if I can do some shifts at the clinic. Maybe learn a little bit about medicine that isn't so tied up with... powers.
no subject
My medical knowledge is pretty outdated in some places [and too ADVANCED for his own hypothetical era
that doesn't actually even existbut, details details]-- but if you ever have questions about plants and herbs [smirk] it seems those tend to stay the same from decade to decade.no subject
I'd like that! We don't have that many plants in the South Pole [...at all] but for while we're here, I think that would be really great to learn!

[glances around] Bet you could even grow some things near your house, if you aren't already.
