[Today, Katara is on a mission. There are people she has to thank for giving her presents, and to that purpose she has prepared small pressed impressions of dried goldenrods in glass (thank you, Usopp and the item shop) or pressed into paper with the words 'Thank You' written on it, depending on what she thinks you'll like more. Yes, this has taken her all week.

She will either be dropping them off at your house, or meeting with you personally to touch base with you. There are a few other people she's on the look out for in particular, and several side missions she also hopes to accomplish. Feel free to bump into her at any point as she goes about her business, whether or not there is a dried flower for you!]

It's still several months until winter, isn't it? If it's only a matter of what they're used to, I'm sure they'll come in. There's no downside to it. And they'd only have to stay until the cold ends.

[But that might not be their only reason...] I hope you're right.

[Lo, the pizza shop! Katara goes for the door.]

It would be stupid to stay out there in the winter. I'd almost forgotten how well actual houses keep out the cold.

I hope so as well. Even otherwise—most of the village lives together in the buildings. No one will let anything happen to your friends.

Does it snow a lot, then, here? It seems like that sort of place. . .

[She lets Allen get the door, even though she doesn't see the big deal, and gives him a strange look. 'Let' anything happen to them? Didn't he hear her say they were Freedom Fighters? They'll go and do what they want to, and good luck trying to get them to do otherwise.]

I don't know. I got here in February, and there was a lot of snow on the ground then. [She enters and walks right up to the counter.] So this is pizza, huh?

You haven't had it before?

No. [Peeeeeering at the glass] What kinds are good?

It depends on the sort of things you like to eat, I think. They can be topped with a lot of different meats and vegetables.

[So she loads up with a slice of pepperoni and a slice of meatball and peppers - and probably grabs a garlic roll and some iced tea before moving to get a table.]

So what are birthdays like in your world?

Ah. . . I don't know much about the traditions, actually. It sounds as if it isn't all that different here. Cake, candles and gifts.

[Katara stares at the pizza skeptically. How are you supposed to eat this? She starts looking around for a fork and knife.]

The candles are new - we didn't have anything like that. We didn't have anything like cake either...
