[For no very specific reason at all, Katara is happy this late afternoon. The air is getting colder, and the very fact that it's nipping at her face is enough to make her smile. Add to that the glorious storm of yesterday, that it is still drizzling...

It's started drizzling as she runs her errands in town, and she puts a hand up to bend an 'umbrella' above her head as she walks along. She forgets herself, though, as she comes to some large puddles in the road, and dropping her hand, stares at them for half a beat.

Well, she's already wet.

So she jumps in. Not bending at all, simply splashing about in the puddles along her way.

Feel free to catch her in this rare display of immaturity and glee - or even join her! Hopefully she won't catch a cold.

Much later, as she prepares dinner for her house, she makes a voice post.]

He'd have just had to get used to eating sea prunes, that's all. [She continues unloading the groceries and getting out what's needed to make dinner, completely unfazed. ~~It's not natural~~.]

I've become convinced Aang doesn't actually like Sea Prunes. [... or anyone for that matter. Of course, but now, that's fairly obvious. Sokka rather enjoys playing ignorant to it.]

[She shrugs.] We'll figure something out, if he comes back to stay with us after the war's over.

[He considers that.] Do you think he actually would?

[She's not looking at you now, gaze concentrating on preparing these vegetables.] What else is he going to do? We're his family now.

I know that the world will need him, and he probably won't be able to stay for very long... but everyone needs someplace they can call home. And we'll have always something ready for him.

Yeah, that's true. [Ah, right. Way to kill the mood. Change of subject, he turns around and leans up against the counter, staring off into the living area.]

So... a certain bearded individual heard something about this great guy.

Huh? [Katara glances over at him, startled. A bearded individual -- oh. Ffffffff.]

Well, you know what they say about men with too much facial hair. Horrible gossips. You can't trust a thing they say.

Well I have it under good authority that in this case, the rumors are true.

Oh really? And just what good authority is that?

[Careful, man, she's chopping up peppers now.]

[He reaches in his bag and pulls out a beard and then points at it.]

THIS authority! Now spill the beans!

[Katara puts a hand over her heart and dramatically widens her eyes.] But Wang Fire! I already told you! I can't trust your advice on romance.

[Stuffing the beard back in the bag now.]

Don't make me go big brother on you!

Whatever that means.

[Rolling her eyes now and getting back to cooking.]

I'm going to find out one way or another! You can make it easier for yourself and just tell me now.

[... it would give him more time in the day, if you did.]

Make it easier on myself? [Katara stops chopping and turns to face him, hands on hips.] What are you talking about, Sokka?

I think you know what I mean. [And his girlfriend IS a master of stealth. Somehow, some way... he will find a way.]

Oh, I think you'd better be a little more specific.

I have my ways of finding stuff out, is all I'm saying. [And that's all that needs to be said. Cue walk away.]

Finding out what? [She rolls her eyes up at the ceiling.]

Your new boyfriend. [Moving towards his room now.]

[Uh.]

My new what?

Laughing now. The laughter which totally hides the very faint blush on her cheeks.]

Sokka! There's no one like that. I was just teasing you.

[He practically zips over there, pointing at her.]

So why are you blushing?

What? I'm not blushing!

[Except she totally is.]
