[Today is Catch Up Day. There are more than a few people Katara hasn't heard from in a while, or that she meant to catch up with after first meeting them when they came, and so after morning chores she sits down to make a couple of voice posts. All messages are filtered between 70-80 percent, and the filters are mostly there as a courtesy to keep from trolling your journals.]

Hey, San! I haven't seen you in a while so I thought I'd try the journals. How are you?

[And some time after she's done with those, she begins making house calls. Sigmund, she has not yet satisfied herself about your ribs since you won't give her a straight answer... and she wants to hear if there's been any news about Katie, so that house will receive a knock on the door. Also, there have been a few 'normal people' she's met that she's concerned about, so she'll be making her way to Alexis' building, hoping to bump into her. She'll also be stopping by the Straw Hat house. She doesn't want to embarrass Nami or anything, but she does want to see with her own eyes that she's okay. If you think she should be checking on your character too, she probably is, or feel free to stop her as she goes along the road.

...although when she returns to her house much later, Katara realizes Something Important and makes a voice post.]

Does anyone know how to prepare a garden for the winter? There has to be something you can do to keep them so that they'll grow the next year, right?

[Katara's eyes widen to be the size of saucers.]

Wow. That's... [Got to be so very not fun.] Where is she?

Right this way. [ Just gonna head on into the living room, where Nami is probably residing in a dollhouse or on a pillow or something like that. ]

[There's also not a lot to do when you're tiny 8| Mapping? Looking after her tree? Out of the question. Bar-hopping? ... she hasn't ruled that out yet, but the bar is a very, very long way away >.> Ergo, Nami can be found swinging her legs on a small flagstone brick in the corner of the room. It's the home of Mrs Brisby, and she's found sticking close by is a very good thing, especially give there was a cat here yesterday 8|

What's she doing?

[She speaks softly, clamping down the girlish 'ohthatissocute']

Hey, Nami.

[Well, not like she didn't hear you coming. She'll glance up and give a faint grin, which quickly turns itself back into a pout again.]

Hey Katara.

[She smiles at sits herself down on the ground by the brick.] I brought you some things.

[And she reaches into the bag at her belt to start pulling out... swatches of fabric in blue, red, yellow, and white, along with a small swatch of leather. Then she starts taking out her sewing kid and a whittled down pencil.]

I'm not as good at it as a lot of the women back in the village, but we did make our own clothes. I thought we could start with the moccasins.

[She places the leather and the tiny, tiny pencil on the brick besides Nami.] Do you think you can stand on top of that and trace your feet?

[...Katara, you're awesome. Has she ever told you that? Nami brightens up, not just at the prospect of new clothes, but OH GOD SOMETHING TO DO ;~;]

I think I can do that. [Though she won't stand up - rather, she'll swing her legs around to plant them solidly on the swatch of leather, reaching for the pencil. Easier to do if she's sitting.] How have you been?

[Katara returns Nami's smile, glad that her idea was well-received.] Pretty good. I'm glad the experiment's over. I had a cold, and every time I sneezed I ended up someplace else. I covered this poor girl in flour and was stuck in a closet with Chopper and I actually fell on top of this guy.

Oh, I hear you there. [Trace trace trace.] I fell on top of a guy, too. Pity I was naked at the time.

What?! [Gah!] And here I thought it couldn't get any worse.

Heh, it gets even worse when you factor in a jealous boyfriend storming into the room with his sword drawn.

[Jealous... boyfriend? ...this oddity is quickly dismissed to focus on the more important 'sword drawn' part.]

...Yeah, you've definitely got me beat for awkward. I only landed on top of him.

[Sort of. He'd kind of been holding her at the time and then... boom.]

Was he understanding about it, at least? [There, feet traced!]

Yeah. [Katara reaches over to take the leather and retrieves a scissor to cut out the leather.

...you totally don't see that faint trace of a blush, Nami. It doesn't exist.] He was very nice about the whole thing. I felt so bad.

[Oh. Totally.]

So. Who is he?

[Blink, blink, look up. The blush fades... for the most part.] His name is Michael. He's one of the New Feathers this cycle. Have you met him?

[She... has no idea what she's unleashing here, at all.]

Not yet, but I suspect I will eventually. What's he like?

Michael? He's nice. He's about Zuko's age, though he looks a little older. He's from a world that's... really different than mine - different than yours too. They fly spaceships and fold space... it almost sounded like shifting.

[He's also cute, for the record. Great smile, amazing eyes, not that Katara noticed, because she didn't.]

Heh.

Sounds like you like him.

[Blink. And this is where Katara is usually hard to troll with an 'Of course I like him, he's nice.' Except that Michael has managed to not become instantly friend-zoned through valiant effort and outrageous charm, though she's working on getting passed that and putting him in the nice safe category where he belongs.]
