[It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, and nothing can get Katara down. Why? Because she is going on an actual date without any sort of experiment involved - a boy she may have confused feelings about, but one that she likes enough to say 'yes' to, now that they've finally made everything clear.

Chouji has planned a picnic, somewhere along the river, and should the two of them be left mostly in peace, afterwards they'll head over to the rec center.

...and that's when Bad Things start happening. Seriously, who let loose all these packs of rabid wolves and ...zombies? Date plans abandoned, they'll start fighting their way into town to see who needs help where.]

((OOC: So this is a joint post with Chouji and Katara! Are you a friend who comes upon them while peacefully picnicking? (A friend who - gasp - was not told about this date?) [ And so naturally, this is the day Chouji leaves his armor back at the apartment. But for now, it's totally fine! And he's generally just happy she agreed to this at all.

[And now that everything's all spread out and the two of them are sitting and there's nothing to do with her hands and they're just... sitting. Katara's starting to feel a little awkward. Nervous? Whatever these fluttery feelings in her stomach are, she does not approve.]

[ Ehhhh, a guy can't be too careful. Ninjas have their own personal vicinities of "what is that and why do I not see it," an ancient art of paranoia and the willies combined.

Chouji's has never been quite as far-reaching as others. Eventually during that approach, though, he'll get hip enough to start looking around. ]

[Not quite the full-on smile that she usually greets him with, but it's opened enough. She's just not looking forward to the teasing about to come... and that will probably continue to follow forever as soon as he finds out, no matter what she and Chouji decide.]

[Stalking? No, that wasn't it, exactly. Toph totally was minding her own business as she walked along the river, and she just happened to feel Katara a little ways off. And someone else she didn't recognize. Huh--that was weird. Come to think of it, she hadn't told her where she was going today.

This is Chouji! I'd been wanting you guys to meet. [You may remember Chouji, Toph, as the person that Katara Was Really Sad about Going Home the day after she broke out of her mallynap effect.]
