[After a good cry, some good advice, and throwing down with the whole of Luceti against Aku the other day, Katara is feeling much more like herself. And she is on a mission. She can be found mid-afternoon heading towards whatever store in Luceti sells paint.
Fire Nation Red in her living room? Not anymore!]
Let's see... I guess I could go blue with green accents... or maybe something even more neutral? Maybe find a cream... No, no orange, it's too close to red...
[Katara has never had a chance to play with paints and colors before! She's a little lost with all the options. She just knows that she wants to make their shared space an open, welcoming one, one that represents all of themand even the one that they're missing and one which won't remind her of that stupid experiment's 'misplaced decimal.' But she has come far enough that she doesn't want it to just chase out Zuko either, although she is perfectly happy never seeing him again. Clearly, the girl is expecting too much out of paint. Someone help?]

It's not exactly the 'all nations welcome' look I'm going for.

That's not the way things work. It should be a room for all of us to enjoy. [...if she can ever be in the same room with Zuko again, that is. Not that she was all that eager to be in the same room with him before, either.]
Re: [voice]
You don't sound too sure.

[She's just not sure it's possible. Or even how much she wants all of what she wants. But she does know it's the right thing to want, and she's going to stick with that.]

[She's willing to bet she can find exceptions Katara doesn't want around. Like herself.]

...It sounds like you've been hurt before, Mercury. I've been hurt by people who I thought were my friends too. But just because some people betray you doesn't mean that everyone will. It doesn't matter whether or not 'friendship' will help me get home. Real friendship matters because it's important all by itself. And that's why I'm going to do whatever I can to make a place for it, even here.
Re: [voice]
All that matters here, is going home. That's where everything is.

What is wrong with you?! What good could killing them possibly do? Here we are, stuck in some alien village with wings on our backs and mad scientists playing around with decimals and changing the way that we think and feel -- and you want to stalk and hunt people down? What could that possibly accomplish? What's the point? What did they possibly do to you to make it so that something like this would be OK?
