[ Action, Some Journal ] BACKDATED to the 11th .059
[On April 9th, Katara had been told that she was an "error," and doomed to die by a boy with the face of the man she loved. As you can imagine, the rest of the day was not spent cheerfully; rather after wandering about for some time, Katara returned home to make dinner and then quietly excused herself to write some letters, and then bend into the early morning hours.
On April 10th, the sun rose on a Katara who was entirely herself, and the sudden onslaught of memories drove her to her knees. In the early hours of the morning, she wept beside the river, feeling inside out and torn apart and lost... eventually she returned to her room in order to sleep the sleep of the deeply exhausted.
She did not wake until April 11th. This was another slow day, where she read the letters her other self had written and decided not to give them out, ended up seeking some unlikely advice, and generally stuck to her schedule, feeling... strange.
But today? Today she woke up feeling a little more like herself. It was a Thursday, which meant meeting Nami for bo practice after school (which she... finally got back to attending, sorry Professor) and then made dinner. She may glance through the journal a bit more than normal; she may even contemplate attempting to contact someone, and... eventually, she does make two locked posts:]

Hey. I know you'll probably say you're fine, but I just wanted to ask how you were doing.

Do you have a minute?
[Later that evening, she'll be practicing by the river, under the light of a waning moon.]

About Masaomi.

[Because he doesn't suspect she wants to talk about her... feelings. He doesn't think he did the wrong thing talking to Masaomi. But it maybe would have been better if he did tell her about it. At least while she was herself.]

That and... [Deep breath.] You were right. I wish she'd listened to you. I understand why she didn't, but... I wish she had.
[Because now I am just going to end up hurting him.]

[Honestly, she wishes that they hadn't kissed and generally been all over each other as much as they had either, but... that's a hazard of Luceti she's grown sort of accustomed to. It would be worse if it hadn't happened to them before.

He's been around Luceti enough to know to not take that serious, right?

That's not really the point, Sokka.

Well what did you tell him?

[He uses the word 'altruistically' with some hinted anger. It was at that moment Sokka realized that Masaomi didn't give a damn what Katara wanted or needed. He just cared about himself.]

Wait a minute-- he agreed? Then why--
No, focus.]
Sokka, what did I ask you to do?
[11th, morning]
You wanted me to get to know him. [He crosses his arms.] And maybe I would have. But he acted like the whole thing was some big joke.
[11th, morning]
And that's exactly why I wanted you to get to know him. He doesn't always act the same way he feels or thinks, and a lot of the time he acts like things are a joke just as... a defense.
[11th, morning]
Well it's not a very good defense.
[11th, morning]
[She looks up and stares right at Sokka.]
When he wants to be underestimated, it works like a charm.

So what do you think he meant to say?

[He's fine as he is, if you really know him, but even then he's got his faults. Who doesn't?]
But I can tell you something else - every time I've told him to back off in the context of our conversations, he's done it. He's made his feelings clear, and sometimes in order to do that he's had to push me past where I'm comfortable in a conversation, but that's fair. You can't just cut off someone because you don't want to hear what they're saying.
All the same, I have no doubt in my mind that if I had told him he needed to stop, he would have.
