[That's OK. Katara had more people responding than she thought and is probably actually sitting down now, processing the information. She'll look up and try to smile at the skeleton man who she is still slightly uncomfortable with seeing.]

Please don't cry, Katara-san. I know that he will be back. Toph-san too - as much as I detest what the Malnosso do to us... there has always been at least that.

[Katara wipes her face with her fists and speaks quietly through clenched teeth.] I hate this place.

[She'll take a deep breath and try to remember what she wanted to ask Brook, but with the news that Sanji has been taken too, all she wants to do is rage and storm - make the Malnosso pay. But she can't. Just like with her mom.]</small. ...thank you for telling me.

I wish I hadn't had to. This place has unfortunately required that I do so more times than I'd like. About it's only benefit is the kind people you meet here. [That and it's not a boat in the middle of nowhere. Things can always get worse.]

[Folding his hands over his knee] It wasn't quite a month ago. I was heading for home when I saw them. I tried to fight them at first... They are incredibly strong opponents. It was a fruitless attempt.

As soon as I realized that, I ran in the opposite direction. I'm quite a speedy one, you see, so I had hoped to outrun them. I made it to the bridge near Community Building 5 before I tired out. They had kept up with me regardless, and from there I was taken.

[...and despite everything, talking to a skeleton is still creepy. It takes an effort for Katara to not stare at his hands, at the interlacing bones.]

Yes, very much so. [He won't comment on Toph, so as not to shatter Katara's nice recovery there. But it's not just her - since he's been here the Malnosso have taken Sanji and they've taken Zoro and he hears that they've even taken Luffy before. The three of them alone are among the strongest people he's ever met]

[Right. Next question] Seemingly nowhere. One moment there was nothing and then the next they were just a stone's throw away. Though at first I just might not have been paying close enough attention to tell.
