Only when they show themselves. After that, it's useless to fight... That doesn't stop anyone from doing everything within their power to do so, though. [Including himself.]

Hm. [He glances down at the floor, deep in thought. He's never heard of it happening before. But it would eliminate the threat from the villains of Luceti. Still... Kratos lets out a soft sigh.]

From my experiences, such a task is impossible. The machines strike unexpectedly so that they won't be followed. It is a clever idea, all the same... If anyone was willing to become said target.

Repercussions? Like what's happening to my friend right now and what will happen to me anyway without any good coming from it at all?

[Deep breath. She doesn't even know this man. She's not going to convince him by blowing up at him.] I'm not trying to be noble, I'm trying to be practical. It's not something I'd say I would do if I didn't think the risks were worth it, and if there's no way to get them to come then there's no point in volunteering anyway. We'll have to figure out something else.

[Kratos wouldn't mind anyway; He's used to teenagers and the like blowing up at him. Oh, kids. Once she finishes speaking, he nods.]

I agree. In the past, people were eager to find where the Malnosso were taking their kidnapped friends, and they would search wherever their intuition would take them. After so long without any kind of lead, though... The most that anyone can do is wait for them to come back. It is... very frustrating, seeing the people here simply give up. At the same time, however, the fact that we've learned nothing for two years is enough to sober anyone's resolve.

If I've learned anything, it's that we can never afford to give up. Just when you think that nothing's going to change -- it happens. Just because people have tried and failed before doesn't mean there's any harm in trying again.

...and just because people are waiting now, instead of trying, doesn't mean they can't be watching as well, waiting for the right moment.
