[ Action ] .063
Part the first:
[Katara fell into the shower after a long day of confusion. All the confused introductions in the morning had left her with little time before she had to take care of Ikki. She couldn’t cook, sure, but she could make sandwiches. And there was something that felt more natural about showering in the evening as well - it felt wonderful, actually.
She was just bringing her arms down from lathering her hair when something extraordinary happened - the water froze around her, encasing her in ice. Katara let out a startled shriek.
She was trapped! And naked! And cold! And where had the ice come from??]
Part the second (and every single other day):
[After her little adventure in the shower, Katara had discovered, much to her wonder and delight, that she could make water move when she moved her hands. She still hadn’t figured out how she’d turned it to ice that first time, but right now she was more interested in the beautiful fluidity of it than anything else.
Whenever she has a moment of free time, you can find her practicing with it, making it move over her arms or hover just above her hand or - wow, she can even fling it at things! This is so cool.
She decided that she was a water dancer, and it was a wonderful, wonderful thing. In the evenings, after helping clear up from dinner and making sure Ikki was tucked in, she wound up a small box that played music (Did you know that there are devices that make music?) she found in the shop with all the things. She took it outside, lifted the lid and practiced dancing to the music.
Feel free to run into her anywhere! Maybe as she runs errands about town or even that moment on the path by the river when she first discovers she can take water and make it smaller, shattering into hundreds of little raindrops that catch the sunlight, and laughs with delight.]

Hundreds of droplets suspended in the air. And in the center of it...
Huh, his heart just skipped a beat. Holy shit, she's beautiful.
And a result he's just looking at the scene in awe from the bridge]

She just laughed, filled with pure delight.
This was so amazing.
She wondered if she could make them dance.]

He doesn't want to interrupt her, but right now he's staring from a bridge. He's obviously staring. so he should... stop]

day the second.
It's really weird not knowing a lot about who she is or who anyone in the house is, but the cards and name tags are useful, and anyway, Ikki just doesn't feel that worried. Okay, yes, she's concerned about Petunia, who didn't even get a card (she checked!), and if she remembered more maybe she'd be able to do more, but in general - well, in general she feels...comfortable.
She knows her name and that she doesn't eat meat (she's allergic!) and that she had a grandfather, and that Katara is family and is in charge, and can do magic with water (and also can't cook, apparently?). It's not a lot, but it's enough.
After watching for a little while, Ikki interrupts with scattered applause, bouncing nearer. ]
Katara! Can you do the ice stuff on purpose now?
no subject
Not yet! I haven't really been working on it. What about you? Any luck with Petunia?
no subject
I wish he'd had a card, too, so I had more clues. Maaaaaaaybe he has one in his tank only starfish can read, though? [ weirder things have happened, probably. None that she can remember, at the moment, but it seems pretty logical to her! ]
Oh, but I'm sure I'll figure it out! And maybe he'll know some more about everything else. That's probably why he got cursed into a starfish, huh?

Now he had slept too much and was dragging himself out of his room, pants only, and with his hair a mess. About the same time his sister would be doing the same.]

Um. Hello?
[She smoothed down her hair nervously.]

Someone.
He realizes his mind is coming up with a blank.]

Night 2
It's possible he might have heard about Katara's new abilities sometime earlier in the day or even witnessed some already. But there was something about this sight that was simply captivating. She looked otherwordly and mystical in the darkness.
For the moment, he just watched, taking in her movements and the intricacies of the water's movements.]
no subject
She wad totally caught up in her water dance. She twirled and wrapped the water around in a giant circle, stepped forward, stepped back through the arch - everything about it was amazing. She was smiling broadly, breathing heavy, controlled as she sped up her dance.]
no subject
The last thing he wanted to was disrupt it. So he he decided to move on from being a gawky onlooker and took some steps closer, sitting on a nearby rock, to spectate more openly. And as she sped up, his heart raced as well with excitement, as he tried to continue tracing the water's movements with his eyes.]

part the first!
So she's about to try and sleep when she hears someone shrieking from the shower.
Uh.
That generally wasn't a good sign. She jumps up and goes to knock on the door.]
Um...are you okay?
\o/
"No, I'm not okay!"
She tugged her arms against the ice ineffectually.
"I'm stuck! All the water in here turned to ice!"
Except for the water which was still pouring down on her from the shower. Hopefully it was warm enough to start making a difference soon.

"Uhh...is there something wrong with the shower?"

Her card had also curiously mentioned that she had a connection to water, though she wasn't certain what that meant. Still, it led her more to explore the roads that had river running along side of it.
-- There's a woman flinging water around seamlessly. That's new. Granted, she had run into 'Bonzu' not too long ago. Was this something similar...?
Still, it was very fascinating. She gets caught up in watching a bit, until an opportunity arises to catch the woman's attention.]

EARLIER THAT DAY
So then Katara came to the door.]
You don't know either?
[And she opens the door.]

[His words escape him as the door enters and he finds himself looking into a pair of blue eyes level with his own. There's an odd warm rush in his chest, and while he takes a moment just to take in her appearance while refinding his train of thought. That's a lot of hair. Nice hair. He then blinks and continues to speak nervously.]
