Part the first:
[Katara fell into the shower after a long day of confusion. All the confused introductions in the morning had left her with little time before she had to take care of Ikki. She couldn’t cook, sure, but she could make sandwiches. And there was something that felt more natural about showering in the evening as well - it felt wonderful, actually.

She was just bringing her arms down from lathering her hair when something extraordinary happened - the water froze around her, encasing her in ice. Katara let out a startled shriek.

She was trapped! And naked! And cold! And where had the ice come from??]

Part the second (and every single other day):

[After her little adventure in the shower, Katara had discovered, much to her wonder and delight, that she could make water move when she moved her hands. She still hadn’t figured out how she’d turned it to ice that first time, but right now she was more interested in the beautiful fluidity of it than anything else.

Whenever she has a moment of free time, you can find her practicing with it, making it move over her arms or hover just above her hand or - wow, she can even fling it at things! This is so cool.

She decided that she was a water dancer, and it was a wonderful, wonderful thing. In the evenings, after helping clear up from dinner and making sure Ikki was tucked in, she wound up a small box that played music (Did you know that there are devices that make music?) she found in the shop with all the things. She took it outside, lifted the lid and practiced dancing to the music.

Feel free to run into her anywhere! Maybe as she runs errands about town or even that moment on the path by the river when she first discovers she can take water and make it smaller, shattering into hundreds of little raindrops that catch the sunlight, and laughs with delight.]

[Katara glanced over her shoulder at the sound - oh, a boy! Maybe around her own age? She smiled at him.]

Sorry, sorry, I just saw your... show. [Laughing sheepishly, he gets off the bridge now, itching the back of his head and walking towards here]

[Her eyes widened a little as she took him in. There was something about him that tugged at her compellingly, and it wasn't just because he was attractive. She'd noticed that most people here were.]

Oh - I just - um. [Heh. She grins and starts talking enthusiastically.] I didn't know I could do that! It was so cool, wasn't it? It felt so neat, and I was figuring it out just - rediscovering a memory. It was so cool!

[Oh phew, she isn't mad at him. He didn't know why he was so worried, but now that it's clearly she is not.... he gets caught up in her gusto, bounding over to her, practically skipping] It was! That was the most amazing thing I've ever seen! Given I only remember a few days that might be a bit underwhelming, but it's true, I assure you!

[She laughed.]

Weeeeeeeeell, when you put it like that...

[She trailed off for a moment as if in thought. Then she smiled at him.]

No, no, thank you! After all, I'm the one watching girls from bridges or something. [he laughs, more at himself than anything, as he goes to pull his notecard out of his pocket]

[His statement about watching girls from bridges oddly... doesn't bother her. She feels safe talking with him. Maybe it was his laugh.]

Oh - sure. [She takes it, reads it. My, that's some personal information.] I don't have mine on me...

Acha, cha... that's alright, I was just being polite. [It struck him as polite to introduce himself... which he can't really do when he doesn't know himself. So this has to count]

[She hands his card back.]

I hope you haven't run into your enemy here.

I'm hoping you aren't her. [It's a joke, from his tone, as he takes back the card]

Well, if I am, I don't remember anything about you, so... [she shrugged] I guess you're in luck?

That I am. Not only do I think you outclass me, I'd hate to have to fight a woman as pretty as you.

Oh, no. I don't think I'm a fighter.

[Her card said the sight of blood freaked her out.

But hey, there's a slight blush from the compliment, so points to you!]

The way I figure it I must be a warrior or an acrobat. [And he shrugs as he rocks back on one foot]

...Soooo, any chance we can see more of that water... thing?

Sure! [She streams some more water up from the river.] Want to see me turn it into a snake?

Frankly, I'd love to see it. [He's starry eyed again, and he leaps back a bit to give her more room for it.] I've seen a few strange power so far, but this one's impressive.

Okay, check this out - [And the water coils right in front of her and then sort of wiggles. It's totally snakelike. And sort of cool.]

[Wow that is cool.

...And highlights her- no, no. That would be rude to focus on her body, he's watching her water. So he refocuses on the water, mildly surprised at the butterflies in his chest right now. Some instinct - he clearly knew this person. ...Or knew this water-moving technique. Or something. Without memories it's so hard to place. But he makes a slightly awed sound-

...Fortunately he thinks better of clapping]

[She moves her arm in a wide arc over her shoulder - and the water FOLLOWS!!! Isn't that the coolest thing???]

[The existence of fantastical powers to begin with is cool.

[Katara sent the water back into the river.]

I get tired after I do it for a long time.

[And the exercise with the droplets had been kind of taxing.

Almost as if she was pouring a tremendous amount of effort through movements that couldn't channel the power correctly.]
