[Due to Sokka's unexpected bout of sheer win, Katara has been given the gift of free time and she plans on making the most of it... after she was shooed back to bed due to threats from Sokka that made no sense at all.

First, she wants to check in on Sanji at the Strawhat's House. Then she wants to stop by the school and see if she can register to go once things are back to 'normal.' And... she has an idea that is going to lead her to the weapons shop. Finally, she'll go grocery shopping because they're running low on easy-to-cook things. Maybe she'll even get a chance to stand by the bridge and practice with real waterbending! ...although saving her strength to keep healing Zuko is probably a better idea. She'll probably just stare at the water wistfully and talk to Sona.

If you're around any of these places today, feel free to say 'Hey!' or give her hand, since she's not exactly sure how to do what she wants to do at the smithy or the school.]

Oh, that's right! [Oh, okay-] Yeah, I'm having trouble with the stone skipping.

Yeah? [Katara peers over.] What kind of stones are you using?

[Round-ish pebbles. Yeah] You need a certain type?

[Katara laughs.] Yes, I think they work better when they're flat. At least, that was the kind we always looked for.

[She inclines her head.] Want to go down and look for some with me?

[...Zing. Oh she beams at that one and then with a snap of her fingers-] I'd love to.

[Aww, she didn't mean it cruelly! But so, Katara will lead the way off the bridge and down to the river bank.] Have you been here long, Charlotte?

Oh just for about ten minutes, I think. [...Hmm. Following of course, but she thinks about it. Was it only ten?]

[Blink, blink.] Oh, you mean - by the bridge?

Yeah? [Did she mean something else?]

I meant in Luceti! [Have a smile. Oh, Charlotte. She's starting to see what Sokka meant about you. She'd have to keep an eye out on him if they were ever together.]

[Oh. Oh... she laughs and then shakes his head as they get closer to ye ol' river bank...] Oh, I've been here, um... six months now!

Wow, that's a pretty long time. Have you been settling in all right?

[And here they are! At the riverbank! Katara starts looking down, shifting through the rocks for a good skipping stone.]

[Charlotte - who still isn't totally sure what she should be looking for - instead just stands still, thinking. She taps her lips one or three times with her index finger and then...] Yeah, I think so...

[Katara doesn't mind - she's looking for one to show the other girl as an example.] Do you have anyone else here from your world? I got lucky that Sokka and Toph were here when I arrived.

[Is someone watching out for you? Because it seems like it would be far too easy for people to take advantage of you, Charlotte.]

Well, there's no one here that I'd met before, but... I made a lot of new friends here. [Which is... her trying to look at the best. Probably]

That's good. I've met a lot of nice people here as well. And... in a way it's kind of better for our friends not to be here. I mean, we're all trying to get out--

Ah-ha! [And Katara will bring over a perfect example of a skipping stone, smooth and flat and thin.] Here we go. This is the kind of stone to look for.

[She is going to scoop that stone out of the other's hand and then play with it in her fingers for a bit. Oh, so it should be... flat and thin? That makes sense, right? She blinks as she plays with it-] Well, I still miss Teppei and Silvie and the others but... it's good to make new friends too.

I think so too.

...I'm kind of lucky, I guess. Most of my friends are here. I just miss home.

[And Katara will shake herself and turn back to the river, looking for more smooth stones.] Let's find a few more and then see if that helps your skipping.

Okay! [And with that, shes going to start her own scan for these stones. As she goes though, she addresses the first part-] I'm glad that you have your friends and your brother though, that would be awful to be apart from a sibling.

Yeah, it... kind of would be. [Didn't seem to bother him much while I wasn't here -- stop that, Katara.]

It's good to be together. [Oh look, there's another stone. Katara glances curiously over at Charlotte.] Do you have any brothers or sisters?

Oh, no. I don't have any... but my friend Silvie has a younger sister. [And she absent-mindedly jut keeps up her search - not too surprisingly, she's not finding any herself]

Oh. [Sad topics of conversation - why aren't there any good ones? She continues to look around for more skipping stones.]

I'm guessing you didn't live very close by much water, then?

Well, there was a big lake between Flemish and Hazelrink, and my friend Silvie had a house which was on that lake. [He shakes her head before she smiles-] I used to go swimming a little when I was smaller, but Alfred always got really worried about me when I did.

A lake, huh? That sounds nice. I grew up by the ocean. [And hello there, other skipping stone!] Who's Alfred?
