[Voice, Action... of a sort] .010

Aang didn't come out for breakfast today. When I went in his room to check on him, all his stuff was gone. ...I guess this means he went home, right?

And all the stuff in the kitchen is different - does anyone know how they're supposed to work? Or how they got in here without waking us up, because -- seriously, creepy.

Hey - haven't seen you around in a while. How are you doing?

Hi, Erza! I've got a few questions about magic, and you're the only one I know here who does it. Do you mind?

John Stewart, the Green Lantern. I spoke about it with my brother, and we decided that we were more comfortable if you didn't bring us up.

[As for action? Katara is not going very far today. In fact, she is stuck inside, doing healing sessions with the invalid and making sure he stays in bed, and trying to figure out how all this crazy new stuff works. If you think she'd open the door for you and let you in, feel free to stop by and give the girl something else do a helping hand!]

I'll try to answer them. Apparently, magic is slightly different depending on what world one is from, so my answers may not be the same as answers that others might give you. Is that okay?

Okay. Is there anything specific that you want to know, or should I start with the basics?

Hm... Well, I personally don't know that kind of magic, but one of my friends from back home... at least, I think he can be called a friend... one of my allies can use barrier magic, where he decides on certain conditions such as "only those with permission of so-and-so can enter here", and those who do not follow them are subject to whatever penalties he can come up with. However, that's one of the most complicated types of magic I've seen, given all of the conditions that are involved.

Other than that, there's illusion magic. It's easier to learn, and would allow you to disguise a place as anything you wanted, or even make it disappear from sight.

Sure. ((OoC: You'll have to bear with me throughout this; the magic in Fairy Tail isn't well-defined in comparison to some other series.)) Magic can be broken down into two basic types, it seems: internal and external. Internal is magic that is generated by your own body, such as breathing fire or shape-shifting, while external is magic that involves objects, like summoning creatures from other dimensions or my type of magic, ex-quip, which lets me summon weapons or armour.

If you're good with a certain type, it will be easier for you to learn magic of that type over magic of the other type. For example, of my friends, Natsu can breathe fire, so it was easier for him to learn how to shape-shift, while Lucy summons spirits to fight alongside her, so shape-shifting was much more difficult for her to learn. Do you follow?

Yes, something like that. I'm not entirely sure what your waterbending would count as, but if I'd have to guess, I'd say it would be internal magic, seeing as from what I saw, weapons or objects aren't involved in your control over water. [At this point, she sighs.] Unfortunately, I'm a terrible teacher. If Mirajane was here, she'd be able to help with teaching you shapeshifting; it's her specialty, and she's got more of the personality for it. Theoretically, I'd think you'd be able to shapeshift an entire building, though it would take a lot out of you.

However, I know that there's a person named Terra who lives around here. She doesn't seem as limited in terms of magic as I am, since she can use several unrelated types; maybe she would be more useful as far as what you're looking for.

I'd think that, if bending is similar to my world's magic, it could be possible for you to learn it. It would be worth a shot, at least.

What kind of magic does this person use, mainly? Most types of magic have some form of weakness, whether it's elemental-based, some kind of time limit between uses of the attack, or simply breaking the concentration the mage while they're using it.

Kefka... I've heard about him, and none of what I've heard has been good. From what I understand about his world's magic, you aren't necessarily limited to one specific type, which makes finding weaknesses difficult. However, there are people from his world who are here, though I only know of two: General Leo Christophe and Terra. Maybe they can tell us some general weaknesses of their world's magic. [She wasn't aware that Leo had been taken home some time ago.]

((OoC: Sorry it took so long; I've had a cold and been studying for exams.))

Hm... From what I've seen from one of the water-using mages back home, she tends to trap opponents in a bubble of water and keep them in it until they're unconscious. Are you able to do anything like that? I couldn't see it being very easy to counter.
