[Action, Chickening Out Written, and Voice] .015
[What with Zuko's unexpected and somewhat... well, dubious bout of hopefully-it-will-be-win and please don't burn their house again, Katara has an unexpected bout of free time. This is both a good thing, and a bad thing, since with the craziness of her first few months dying down, Katara has started to feel homesickness pressing down on her. Couple that with Sokka's keeping secrets, his friendship with Ty Lee, and learning chi blocking, the extra time to think is not... exactly... happy.
So here she is, at the bridge by her house, standing at the arch and staring out over the water.]

[No. It wasn't fair to bring anyone into this. She'd figure it out the same way she always did.]
[Voice: Filtered away from Zuko, 70%]
So... has anyone else noticed anything strange going on tonight? There isn't a new experiment going on, is there?
[And pretty much immediately after this comment Katara is going to find a way to erase this voice post if it kills her. She didn't mean to upset anyone! It was just - so weird.]
[...And sometime after dinner, she'll be returning to her practicing routine outside of the house, in case she's due for a talking toyou know who you are.]

Do you have anyone from home? If you don't mind me asking, that is.
[voice]
And I don't mind at all. There are quite a few people from my world here. My brother is one of them.
[voice]
....As for me, well, let's just say I got a few surprises that lacked explanation. My friend cleared everything up when she arrived, though, so it's ok. And it was good news, overall.
So, you have family here? That must be nice. [And… yeah. his voice might sound a bit... off at that.]
[voice]
I'm glad that it was good news.
[voice]
It was indeed. [It did make his longing to be home stronger, though.]
[voice]
And in the meantime, we get to meet all sorts of new people!
[voice]
I don't know when, but I will see her again. [And yeah, there’s quite a bit of determination there. He's spent the past year before Luceti trying to get back to his sister's side. He can handle a bit longer.]
Thank you. [By the sound of his voice, he means it a lot.]
And you’re right. I've met many interesting people in my short time here.
[voice]
That's good! Anyone in particular?
[voice]
I've also met quite a few friendly individuals my age.

[voice]
It's very weird, indeed. There's quite a few wars, in the future. [His voice sounds a bit depressed by this.] It seems our world never tires of it.
[voice]
But they do end, eventually. And in every world I've heard of here, there are also people who are doing what they can to defend the people who need it, and end the war that they're in. And that's all we can do, right? Just deal with when and where we are, and hope for better things.
[voice]
And you're right, of course. If one constantly worries about the future, you're liable to lose grasp of what you can do now.
Thank you, again.
[voice]
If there's one thing I know, it's that when bad things happen you have to concentrate on adapting, and doing what you can do. If you think about what you can't, you'll just drive yourself crazy.
Heh - that holds true, double, here.

[voice]
But don't forget - we're going to find a way to get home. It's hard to wait and not be able to do anything, but as long as we don't forget, and as long as we keep looking...
...there has to be a way.
[voice]
There is most definitely a way. We just have to find it.
