[It's the second day of a heatwave, and it's amazing how little things like weather can drive man-eating butterflies, flying trees of burning pointy doom, and missing friends from a Southern Watertibe girl's mind. ...OK, maybe not that last one, but she's feeling this heat in her bones, man, and it's driven her to put on her Fire Nation outfit and just lounge around, trying not to think about the horrible things she's seen week... which of course makes her think about the horrible things she's seen everywhere.

But the best way to get rid of bad memories is to think about good ones... and when that fails, make them.

And so, Katara Has An Idea. She grabs her brother, he agrees, and they make their way to the center of the square and set up a table. It's laden with fruits and sugars and stacks of glasses.

A little bit of waterbending later? And that fountain is now completely iced over, meant to resemble one of their 'Great Wonders of the World', an ice oasis in the middle of the desert.

When they're all set up, Katara makes a voice entry.]

Hey, everyone! Come on to the fountain for free fruit slushies!

[Feel free to come upon them on any part of the process, stop by for a slushie, or take a look at the pretty ice-fountain! Either Sokka, Katara or (eventually, as I have to run out right now) both will answer!]

[She is not amused with Haruki setting her brother up at all - or with accusing someone innocent. But she knows Sokka. And eyes him suspiciously.]

So you're telling me that Haruki told you Batman was a thief and helped you set up a trap for him - all on his own?

Well, okay, sure. I came to the conclusion he was a thief first. But it's not like Haruki couldn't have told me otherwise the moment I mentioned it. He clearly knew who Batman was.

[She'll butt in now.] What exactly did you do, anyway?

[Oh shit, he forgot you were still here.]

... I built a spotlight with his symbol on it. Haruki said it would lure him in for a trap. After I figured out I was tricked, I was trying to take the metal part off, but accidentally turned the spotlight on instead.

[.......pfft. Details, please.] And Batman showed up?

... yup. I guess he thought I was calling him for an emergency or something. But I explained it to him. Gave him the spare... whatever those things are called that he likes so much, and he left. No harm done.

You probably caught him in a good mood. [Also-] Can I have my slushie now?

OH! Right! [He'll add that fruit to the slushie, which is fortunately not melted yet, and then hand it over.] Sorry about that.

There's no need to apologize. [She takes a sip.] It tastes good.

[A relieved smile.] I'm glad to hear that!

Hey, Miss Diana. Can I ask you a question about your armor?

Of course. And please, call me Diana.

[Her brother gets this look. Seriously? Since when did he call people 'Miss?']

Alright, Diana it is. [He'll give you a reason to give him a look.]

Why doesn't your armor cover all of your vital organs? It seems pretty impractical to me.

[....] It covers up all it needs to. Besides, I don't really require that much armor.

[...well, it was a fair question. But. Sokka.]

[She doesn't look happy. Er.]

Hey, I like it! Very nice. Nice usage of colors and all. I was just going to offer to make you a more complete set, that's all.

[She actually has a more complete one, but it actually hinders more than it helps. Her gaze softens, though.]

Thank you for the offer, but I'm sure Hephaestus had his reasons for making my armor the way it is.

Hephaestus? Is he another member of the League?

[Sokka has a few ideas what those 'reasons' were.]

[He's married! To Aphrodite!

She shakes her head.] He's one of my gods.

Your armor was made by the gods too?

Yeesh. The only gods I know either want to eat me or play fetch.

It's technically my mother's, but- [I stole it.] -yes, the armor was made by the god of forging, among other things.
