Aug. 20th, 2010 10:15 pm[...sometime this morning, Katara wakes up slowly, prodded too it by the pain in her back and the nagging sensation that something is different. The air isn't salty. She's not cold. The ship isn't moving...
She gets up and blinks, then blinks again. She's not on the ship. She doesn't know where she is, but there's nothing keeping her there - no cage bars, no locks. Heart banging painfully in her chest - this is almost too good to be true - she closes her eyes for a long moment and waits to see if it's still a dream. When it's not, her thoughts are filled with only one thing.

Also, if Sokka catches her first the chances are good she'll be making another break for it anyway, wandering lost around the town with less visible burning and sticking to shadows, or even doing her darndest to run through the forest to find something familiar.))
