[For no very specific reason at all, Katara is happy this late afternoon. The air is getting colder, and the very fact that it's nipping at her face is enough to make her smile. Add to that the glorious storm of yesterday, that it is still drizzling...

It's started drizzling as she runs her errands in town, and she puts a hand up to bend an 'umbrella' above her head as she walks along. She forgets herself, though, as she comes to some large puddles in the road, and dropping her hand, stares at them for half a beat.

Well, she's already wet.

So she jumps in. Not bending at all, simply splashing about in the puddles along her way.

Feel free to catch her in this rare display of immaturity and glee - or even join her! Hopefully she won't catch a cold.

Much later, as she prepares dinner for her house, she makes a voice post.]

Good, I'm glad. [He just relaxes where he's at, nice and dry.]

But I won't be sucking on any frogs with you when you get sick.

[She puts a hand to her heart.]

Oh, but Sokka! You're not at all wet!

[And as she steps onto the porch she grins.] Let me fix that for you.

[Throwing out a hand and abruptly bending all the water on herself right at him.]

[... and he's soaked. Not cool, not cool at all. His expression is a bit peeved, oh yes.]

Oh, haha. You soaked me with your bending. [Glancing to his side, Hawky is a little annoyed at being slightly dampened.] You got Hawky wet, too.

Serves you right.

[And she bends it off of him and back out of the porch.]

[Well, at least he only had to be wet for mere moments...]

For what? I didn't do anything!

You were being snooty. At least I got wet on purpose.

And I wanted to stay dry. Guess you decided that wasn't going to happen.

[She shrugs, rubbing her hands against the outside of her arms to warm them up.] You shoulda got wet the fun way, then.

[She glances out towards where it's still raining.] Isn't it nice out? You can feel the air starting to get cold.

I'll pass. [He's not keen on getting sick, thank you.]

Yup. Looks like at this rate, I'll get to put that Christmas knowledge to use. [That one year mark... growing ever closer. Hrmmm.]

Christmas? What's that?

Some Earth holiday. It was a few weeks after me and Toph showed up. It had to do with some guy called Santa... I think he's some kind of god. Very important religious figure. You're supposed to give presents out in his honor, or slaying is involved. None of it made much sense at the time.

...wait a minute, what? You give out presents or he kills you?

I think it's more of a legend. And he isn't here in Luceti... it's just celebrating his birthday, is all.

What kind of horrible person would kill you if you didn't celebrate his birthday!? That's a terrible holiday!

Actually, if you don't pay attention to that part, it was actually pretty fun. If we're still here, we should do it anyway.

[Thanks to you, Katara now thinks Christmas is HORRIBLE!]

What? No way! How could you even think that! I would never celebrate such a terrible person's birthday. And you shouldn't either!

[Sokka just sighs and shakes his head.]

It's not a big deal. It's just giving presents to each other. Who cares what the reason is?

Are you kidding me? Of course the reason matters! You'd be honoring a mass-murderer!

You know, I may be wrong about who did the slaying. Maybe he stopped it? I really didn't give it much thought at the time.

Well, don't you think you should find out? Whether he killed them or whether he saved them is kind of a big difference.

Hey, in my defense, I was still new here. And a few days before that, the ENTIRE village lost three days of their memories. It wasn't important at the time.

[Somewhat grudgingly:] I guess I can see that. At least we can ask if we're still here.
