Katara grew up in New York, the younger sister of Kate Bishop. Unfortunately, she had these... powers. She's learning how to deal with them while trying to save the world, you know, as one does as a Young Avenger.

[There is no universe where Katara is a morning person. Ever. But in this universe, Katara drinks coffee. Finding no coffee in the Avatar House, she is instead brewing tea. She's not sure why she's here instead of with her sister, but she knows it's experiment season. Might as well have some tea.

Then in walks Zuko with a fireman hat.

Huh. That's new.]

Where's the fire?

[Zuko has no idea what kind of hat this is. It was just the first one he saw, and so...]

Huh?

[He looks puzzled. Is that supposed to be a new firebending joke or something?]

[Katara gestures to her own head, tapping her temple lightly.]

Fire. You know, because you're wearing a fireman's hat?

[Was it just her, or was it too early for this?]

[He blinks then reaches up to take the hat off and look at it.]

Is that what this is? My horoscope said my love life would flourish with a hat, so I got this one.

[Yeah he's being completely serious here.]

[Katara blinks. Wow. Just... wow. Where does she even start?]

I'm all for trying to better your love life, but I think you should have maybe tried to find a hat that's a little more... that fits you a little better, don't you?

[Fashion. Fashion is a good place to start. Geeze.]

[Well he hadn't really thought about it honestly. Did it really matter what kind of hat it was? The horoscope said it would happen. So. But whatever.]

[She puts her hand up to her chin in thought.]

You'd probably look killer in a fedora. But I don't think you'd want their reputation. Maybe a newsboy cap? I wonder if the clothing stores have one here.

[lordhotman]

A what?

[English woman, use English... or... Chinese. Whatever language it is that they speak.]

Newsboy hat. You know, with the brim? [She IS using English. Not that the translator is letting him pick that up...

Katara eyes the fireman's hat.] Or maybe you don't know, at that.

Yeah, I have no idea what you're talking about.

I kind of figured. [She takes a sip of her tea and drops the subject.] You, my friend, need some help.

[Or maybe she doesn't drop the subject at all. Hey, fighting fashion crimes has got to be some kind of bonus for a Young Avenger, right?]

[Zuko hmphs and puts the hat back on his head.]

I'll be fine. ... What's a fireman, anyway?

[Is it anything like a hotman?]

[Katara rolls her eyes.]

And a fireman is someone who goes around and puts out fires. [Duh.]

Right.

[Not that he has a love life to begin with but... It could happen!

So with that he'll just turn around and stalk right back out the door.]
