[Stirring awake, the first thing she notices is that it's cold -- and it's not cold in the fire nation. Glancing up and around there are snowflakes all around her... and no one in her group.] Aang? Sokka? Toph?

Where are my clothes? [Shuddering, she rubs her arms together.]

[Time to get a little louder now, stomping around, and where is the fire and why is she in a forest?] Toph? Aang? Sokka!? This isn't funny!

Ow! What? What is this? [The sound of turning pages. She'll close it and start looking around in a minute for some shelter and her friends, not necessarily in that order. This Southern Watertribe girl is not about to get frostbite in some strange forest just because she woke up in weird clothes with no shoes.]

[Sokka grabs the stuff from before, gets himself dressed warmly, and will be waiting for Toph at the door.]

[Aaand Toph's going to be following him] The wings don't make you fly or anything. Isn't that annoying? They pretty much just take up space.

What? You mean they don't even work? Then what's the point?

It's hard to say. Maybe it's so they can start selling exclusive wing accessories or something. They'd make a killing like that.

[And off towards the river they're going. With any luck, they'll be going down the right one.]

That said, I haven't seen any wing accessories at all. They must have missed out. [Sarcasm.]

[And down the river. Toph's going to keep an earthbending sight out for Katara. At least they didn't ask her to hop up and down!]

Sokka! [Brb, Tormod. Family's here. Better watch out, Sokka, your sister is running at you with the intent of hugging. Toph, you're next.] Toph!

Katara! [He usually would be the one to show a little restraint, but he's never spent this much time away from his sister. He wouldn't admit to it, but he did miss her. He drops the coat and boots for now and returns the hug until he notices that other guy. Suspicious brother time kicks in as he brings that hug to a close.]

Nice to see you again, sis. [Have some suspicious glares, Tormod, as he emphases the 'sis' part.]

[Annnd Toph surrenders herself to the magic of FRIENDLY HUG. Yeah, she's missed Katara too, no matter how much it really sucks to see her kidnapped here, too.] Yeah, Katara, nice to see you.

Hey.

[And Katara won't admit it, but seeing Sokka and Toph goes a long way into making everything all right again, even taking away some of the cold. If they had been hurt, or if she hadn't been able to find them, she didn't know what she would have done.] I'm so glad to see you guys!

[Oh look. Boots. She'll just be putting them on, then.] What's happened to us? Where's Aang?

Oh -- this is Tormod. He said he just woke up on the mountains.

[Benefit of the doubt for now, Tormod. He'll turn his attention to Katara for now.]

We're in a place called Luceti thanks to some jerks called the Malnosso so they can experiment on us. It's why we have the wings, I guess. We can't escape because the place is surrounded by some huge, invisible, magic barrier thing.

Yeah, it's pretty much what Sokka said. Aang's not here because he hasn't been kidnapped. A bunch of stuff is different here, too- like bending. You won't be able to do it as well as you can back home.

Actually, I arrived a couple hours ago and was hanging around the edge of the village when I heard you, and, ah . . . well, never mind the details.

Magical barrier? Kidnapped? But -- when did this happen? We were all together last night, and it sounds like you two have been here a while. And what do they want with us?

We'd just finished with the whole defeating the Fire Lord thing when I got sent here.

. . . the Fire Lord? Who's that?

It's the different times thing, right? People from the same place hailing from varying time periods.

[At Toph's words, Katara completely freezes. 'Different times' sinks in, but doesn't make any sense. Nothing makes any sense.] Woah -- what? Defeated him? [She looks from Toph to Sokka and back again, her eyes painfully wide and speaks with a small voice.] You mean... it's over? We won?

The Fire Lord was only the baddest guy on the entire planet. He was gonna turn the Earth Kingdom into one giant piece of charred real estate. But yeah, Aang totally did a number on him. Toph and I were there too. We took down, what, over a dozen airships? No big.

Yeah, I made an iron suit. It pretty much kicked butt. Sokka lost his sword and boomerang, but he got 'em back here. And you and Zuko took out his crazy sister, if you wanna know what you were doing during the big battle.
