[The past few days have been good for Katara. The happy from mending her rift with Sanji hasn't faded, rather it has turned into a sort of muted contentment and being outside and with good company was good for the soul.

Of course, not everyone was having such a good time... but she couldn't really blame Caesar for that, considering the way he'd shown up. Everyone else seemed to be... mostly getting along. And it was so nice to be doing that which felt a little bit more familiar.

Not to mention the fact that she's been able to spend so much time in and around the water. Just now, she was taking a swim after dinner. It was so good to be so close to so much water again - just feel it on her senses, tugging at her awareness. It was almost like home, but in a way that made her happy instead of sad - because she refused to be sad as long as she had a choice about it.

Getting up, she wrings the water out of her hair and bends the rest off before making her way towards her journal.

If you are out there camping, feel free to bump into her at the lake, or on her way back to the campsite!]

[It's a surprise to see you out in his neck of the woods, Katara. Longshot had just stopped by the lake hoping to catch something for dinner.]

[Katara surfaces out of the water and bats her hair out of her face. She's just as surprised to see you as you are to see her, Longshot. She hadn't even once considered she'd run into you or Jet out here. But then she smiles.]

[He sits down at the shore of the lake and waves a little with one hand. Looks like you're enjoying your swim. He sets the tools he was going to use down at his side - probably no fish around in this spot right now, after that.]

[Sokka himself is just returning from catching dinner on the lake. FORTUNATELY he lucked out and actually caught something, unlike yesterday where he was forced to share what Katara had brought to eat. None of these fish looked familiar, but hey, they looked edible enough. He'll be putting the boat away just as Katara is getting out of the water.]

[Katara bends the water off - sending it back towards the lake. Look out, Sokka! She's not paying close attention to where it's going.]

[Oh yeah, this guy is definitely hanging out at the campsite. Caesar's probably tired of complaining for the moment, so he'll just be laying around, staring up at the sky, possibly contemplating making his escape soon.]

[Katara has made a small pillar of ice, for lack of any respectable mountain ledges. Time to finish off this part of her swim with a bang-]

[Toph's enjoying the good times too, despite her general distrust of water. She's wading around the shallows, because once you get in too deep, your feet float free of the ground. Still, the water's not bad to splash around in.] Hey, Katara! Talked to any fish yet?

[Her resolve is wavering on this point. Fresh fish would taste so good. And - so far she really hasn't heard any of the fish actually talk.] You?

[ Katara approaches fairly quietly. She's interested in hearing what kind of conversations can be had with these animals. ]

[Katara is in the shallows, finishing off her swim with some bending practice. She is just going through some basic forms right now, manipulating the water around her into intricate loops and waves with her movements. She looks happy and at peace.]
