[Action, Chickening Out Written, and Voice] .015

[What with Zuko's unexpected and somewhat... well, dubious bout of hopefully-it-will-be-win and please don't burn their house again, Katara has an unexpected bout of free time. This is both a good thing, and a bad thing, since with the craziness of her first few months dying down, Katara has started to feel homesickness pressing down on her. Couple that with Sokka's keeping secrets, his friendship with Ty Lee, and learning chi blocking, the extra time to think is not... exactly... happy.

So here she is, at the bridge by her house, standing at the arch and staring out over the water.]

[No. It wasn't fair to bring anyone into this. She'd figure it out the same way she always did.]

[Voice: Filtered away from Zuko, 70%]

So... has anyone else noticed anything strange going on tonight? There isn't a new experiment going on, is there?

[And pretty much immediately after this comment Katara is going to find a way to erase this voice post if it kills her. She didn't mean to upset anyone! It was just - so weird.]


[...And sometime after dinner, she'll be returning to her practicing routine outside of the house, in case she's due for a talking to you know who you are.]

[Part way through her practice routine Katara will notice she's not alone. Zuko's just standing there watching her.]

[She knows you're there. She just doesn't know why. You're being really, really nice right now and while it's good - she's just not sure how to deal with that. It reminds her too much of... that experiment. And if it's just you being nice... well, she's not sure how to deal with that either. So she'll just be continuing to practice for a little bit. It's nothing you haven't seen before.]

[Toushirou approaches the bridge, nowhere near in a hurry. He's got nothing else to do, unless he counts stopping by the store for a little food. Reduced to wandering and grocery shopping. How... wonderful.]

[He raises a brow at Katara, standing there and staring rather intently into the water. Interesting. He's been known to stare at a few things now again. It never really meant good things. He'd torn for a moment: she has helped him out a couple times, but hell if he really wants to pry. That's not exactly his thing.]

[He stops beside her. Saying hello isn't prying and she might be the type to get all insulted if he walked by without saying something anyway.]

Katara.

[Yeah, that's his idea of saying hello.]

[She glances over her shoulder at him. She hadn't heard him coming. Not a good sign. Have a polite smile.]

[Your stalking will only be good for her, San. Maybe she'll learn to become more aware of her surroundings. Not just yet, however. Right now, she's working with water whips. The goal is to slice wood shards the size of playing cards in half. She's doing pretty well.]

[Since Katara has way too many stalkers as it is during her bending session, Sokka will just hit her up AFTERWARD. When she's heading in, she might notice her brother is up on the roof. It turns out this is the perfect place to unwind and relax.]

[Good God, Sokka, are you turning into Batman? She does, in fact, notice that her brother is on the roof. And pauses.]

Are you going to start banging things again?

[Because he is, she's going to go someplace else.]

[And she laughs - so embarrassed.] Just - someone did something really unexpectedly nice for me today. That's all. I shouldn't have said anything.

[Oh, gosh - now a stranger was asking her? She's... got to find some way to erase that.] No, no, I'm sure it's nothing. I was just trying to make sense out of something and I made a joke - I'm sorry, I'll find a way to erase that.

[Oh man, you better watch out Katara. You got water bubbles-- yes water bubbles-- headed your way!]

[Oh no - not water bubbles! Katara doesn't immediately notice those sneaky, sneaky bubbles headed in her direction from behind. And they score a direct hit! One to the cheek, ka-pow!] What the -

[And she turns her head, right into another bubble that pops on her nose. Blinking owlishly, Katara bats away the next bubble, spots their source, and starts laughing.] Hey, Luffy!

[Action] ...Because Katara obviously needed more stalkers

[Have a Longshot passing through somewhat later than her other surprise visitors. He has an empty bag over one shoulder and, judging by the direction he came from, was probably headed into town to grab some food.]

[Seeing her waterbending over the journals is completely different from seeing it in person. It succeeds in stopping Longshot for a few seconds. If Katara spots him in time, she'll catch a fairly impressed look.]

[Action] If she was Nami, she'd start selling tickets

[Katara is just working on her forms now - they're slow and controlled, but the amount of separate streams of water she's handling is impressive. She's a bit more aware of her surroundings now, thanks to San. And when she feels someone's gaze on her she turns and catches that look. She smiles, but seeing Longshot is more of a reminder of... she just had dinner with three people from the Fire Nation, one of which made their dinner. Her life is weird.]

Hey, Longshot! [And she lets the water return to its containers.] Headed into town?

[After a while, Katara may or may not notice several plumes of water snaking up from the surface, intertwining with each other, and seemingly changing into various complex shapes at random. Off to the side, Mewtwo can be seen staring rather boredly at the display.]

[Katara does in fact notice the display, and quickly glances around for the source. Upon spotting Mewtwo, she offers him a tentative smile before moving to bend a single strand of water in and through the shapes he's creating.]

[Leto pauses at seeing water rise and fall. He can't resist getting closer even though he knows it's hazardous for him. Padding silently and stealthily towards the source of the strange activity, he gets close enough to catch a look. Does he realize what a creeper he's being? Does he care?]

[Katara is practicing with her waterwhips, working on accuracy with simultaneous streams of water. In order to do her best to simulate a moving target, this involves throwing up wood chips little larger than playing cards and moving to strike them. It's frustrating, and she's been at it a while now. In a little bit she'll give up and start moving to her closing forms.

She does not yet notice Leto.]
